I had fish chips with Yorkshire caviar (mushy peas) and I have to say the chips were great ! However I guess whoever prepared the mushy peas must have let the salt slip as they were just far too salty. The fish needed another couple of minutes in the fryer as a large portion of it was just plain raw.... More

On arriving at Walkers my partner and I were greeted warmly and promptly offered a table. The staff were very accommodating even though we arrived toward the end of food service. We weren't rushed and had plenty of time to make our meal choices. I ordered the cod with gluten free batter and it was the best fish I have... More

Got three portions of fish and chips tonight. Batter crisp and light, chips golden and crispy and peas just perfect. Good selection of sauces. The only slight issue we had was that the bread was obviously spread with cheap margarine rather than real butter. We now know that saturated fat doesn't cause heart disease, and that full-fat products such as... More

While staying at The Old Station in Allerston, I was recommended to go here. It was absolutely the best fish and chips I have ever had and as somebody from Cape Town, South Africa... that's saying something! Truly exceptional batter, crisp, crunchy and absolutely decadent. Be warned of the portion sizes, though! They're HUGE.

Out with my wife and sister for a evening meal. This fish restaurant is in our village so not far to travel. My wife is only just out of hospital so and has to walk with a frame, the table given to us was a little walk but all on the flat. We have been before but not for a... More

As the title says, just fabulous. Fabulous food, friendly staff, speedy service and definitely no room for dessert because of generous portion sizes 😊 I can't wait until my next visit.

Easy to find on the main road in East Ayton and has ample car parking. The restaurant environment is good but the staff are excellent being very helpful and friendly. The fish and chips are far from disappointing. Disabled access is good.

This is one of the best fish restaurants we have visited. To give some idea, to celebrate a birthday we drove two and a half hours to enjoy. Fish fried to order, attentive service, pleasant surroundings. Highly recommended.
