Good size pub of the Wetherspoons chain. Really nice upstairs section when it is open. Good range of different seating depending on your mood and company. Standard great value WS food menu and a good selection of drinks. I have visited the Tap multiple times in the past 6 months and every time the service has been excellent though I... More

Went to the Tap looking to check out real ales. A bit disappointed as only one decent one worth trying. Off to the next pub!

My hubby and I had breakfast at the Diamond Tap on Sunday morning before travelling in to London on our visit down south from Newcastle. We had two big breakfasts. Took a little while for our food to come but to be fair the place was really busy!! Our breakfasts came and all be it missing a mushroom, we got... More

Tried this as an alternative to the Hatchet just down the road. This pub is still very dingy, but perhaps not as bad as the Hatchet. Layout is a little less cluttered. Service very friendly and prompt. Food nice and hot, delivered quickly.

I visited here with my daughter. Breakfast was ok but little cold. We both had all day breakfast my toast was burnt, beans cold tomatoes burnt, fried egg was more like a boiled egg. For the money can't expect it to be like The Savoy.

Hello and thank you for your response. We always aim to send out all meals hot and well presented so I'm sorry to hear that it was cold with some items not up to scratch. We hope to see you again soon so that we can serve you a nice hot meal. More

We used to come to this place every week. They have never been too kind to us but after what happened on Thursday 30/09/2016 we could just not take it anymore. Here is what happened: we ordered two Paninis, one with salad and the other one with chips. When they brought the dishes to the table, both plates came with... More

The waitress was absolutely rude. She threw the plates down. One of our orders were wrong so she tutted at us and walked off with the plate. She didnt smile once and was extremely arrogant . Wont be visiting again!
