Friendly pub, very quiet Wednesday evening early December. Open mike night participants arriving as we left. Food usual pub grub, reasonable quality for price. Desserts excellent and all home made, my brûlée lovely. Feel it lacks a bit of atmosphere and a bit bare and clinical, some greenery and candles could help and make the most of the fireplace in... we came to Minehead on the steam train and were looking for someplace for lunch, having tried the high street, which was full of stag and hen parties and pubs with bouncers on the doors before lunchtime even, we decided to go in the other direction away from town. The Quay inn was the first we came across, it was... More

My partner and I walked along the seafront in search of a good hearty meal, we spotted the sign 'award winning chef' and then clapped eyes on the specials board - 'homemade fish cakes'. The specials board confirmed our visit. Upon arrival, the staff seemed friendly and helpful. If I'm honest, initially we were a little put off when we... More

We expected some good pub grub but were a bit disappointed when the meal arrived. We had about six small pieces of pork on top of some mash in a sauce. A small dish of veg arrived alongside. We went on to have the chocolate brownie for a dessert but this was so sweet that we could hardly eat it.... More

I am sorry you were disappointed. We are usually complimented on generous portion sizes and good value for money - I am sorry you did not find this to be the case. Our desserts are all made in house - again usually very well received but of course nothing will ever be to everyone's taste. We thank you for your... More

The Quay Inn - where everyone is most welcome. We delight in offering the best, locally sourced, quality, foods and real ales at reasonable prices. The menu changes with the seasons. We also LOVE MUSIC! Quay Roots at the Quay Inn, frequently presents local, national and international music acts. The next event will present Cam Penner and Jon Wood from Canada, on Halloween night. We also host regular acoustic and plugged open music sessions, and the next one of these will on Sunday afternoon, 6th October, at 2:30pm.The Quay also provides an extensive coffee and tea menu and fantastic selection of naughty yummies (cakes, desserts) that can be enjoyed all day. We welcome dogs and well behaved owners, and also have a wonderful large garden where you can enjoy the lovely sea air.
