Went for early evening meal whilst on holiday and the plates were almost licked clean ! .Dined in the bar as we had a dog who was made most welcome and she enjoyed the biscuits from the doggy tin behind the bar . Staff were very friendly along with the locals and made us feel most welcome. The haggis tower... More

First night of our holiday. Family of 12 meal was really good but service was slow. Only one lady serving / we had pre booked so knew we were coming. Staff were friendly only criticism would be slow service.

Cane here for lunch this afternoon, didn't really know what we fancied so we opted for the brie and haggis bruschetta with tomato pesto, to accompany the cauliflower and broccoli soup of the day (and a side of their awesome homemade chips)..OMG!! It was simply irresistible! The glasses of merlot went down a treat too! Absolutely gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere... More

Inedible. Greasy fish. Burnt re-heated chips. Not to be repeated. Friendly staff during early evening.

Hello. I'm really sorry to hear this. I'm certain that's not our usual standard. We have only had good comments about our takeaway fish n chips. Next time please come and mention this to our staff and we will replace or refund. Thanks and sorry again Craig More

Enjoyed an excellent Hogmanay meal with family, lovely steaks and other meals were great too. Kids loved the burgers and the person who had the chicken enjoyed that too.

Delicious dinner in the restaurant made for special New Year's Eve family celebration. Meals were top-notch - homemade, local produce, well-cooked. Pub food with panache without being fancy gastropub. Gingerbread cheesecake was divine (should have taken a photo!). Good crackers - with useful gifts inside - was a nice touch and highlighted the emphasis on quality throughout. Barbara was really... More

if you're looking for homemade then the holy loch inn is a must. The mac n cheese was the best I've tasted in a long time and the homemade chips were so tasty. Everything is made from scratch and might take a bit longer to reach your table but I can assure you is worth the wait. The staff are... More

Had dinner here in the bar: the restaurant area looks very similar. Good, tasty, freshly cooked food - scallops with mashed potato, bacon and sage, and apple-stuffed chicken breast. Excellent service by welcoming staff
