Stopped here after a long walk down the river in the HOT May sunshine. Well hasn't this place changed..for the better. Sat and had a few drinks, Not cheap but worth it for a proper G&T full of ice and lime perfect. I had the black pudding special which was stunning did not expect such a well presented tasty meal,... A pleasant town bar on the bank of the River Tay. Bar is a dog friendly as are the staff. The venue has a music focus with guitars on the wall and a piano. Nice to hear music rather than sky sports ( not a TV in sight... yippee!). We started with Cullen skink, followed by venison medallions. The skink... More

We had lunch of cullen skink, very good lots of fish and good taste but thin sauce, fish and chips, lamb etc. Prices are reasonable, nice view from the tables near the window in the bar area, but draughty from the door. Staff are friendly and helpful. Busy, noisy place.

We were made very welcome by the staff, enjoyed one of the best bar meals ever, in front of the window overlooking a view of the river Tay. Friendly and professional staff combined with freshly prepared food made our day out (accompanied by two dogs and our six-month old granddaughter) perfect.

I have been coming to Perthshire for years and have always meant to visit the famous Taybank but never got round to it. Eventually made it here with friends who were staying in the village. It did not disappoint we had one of the best nights out in years. Food was great and music was fantastic. We came on a... More

Lovely outlook over the river with a very pleasant riverside terrace/garden. It was far from garden weather which made the roaring wood-burning stove even more inviting. A fairly basic but nicely atmospheric bar with a very friendly young manageress and good reasonably priced food.

Wonderful location on the banks of the Tay. Beer garden outside or a relaxed informal bar internally. I had lunch which was enjoyable....Cullen Skink and then a Burger! No complaints.

Have always loved the atmosphere and live music of The Taybank and the recent refurbishments have transformed the place, in particular the upstairs bar which provides stunning views over the Tay and a cosy intimate environment to catch up with friends and enjoy the fantastic selection of drinks on offer. The tasteful new look has not detracted from the warm,... More

Came into Dunkeld by chance as we were stuck in easter weekend traffic on A9, and I must say I'm glad we did. One of the most beautiful little places in Scotland. We were drawn to The Taybank as there was live music being played on the terrace. there was a wonderful market in the garden of the hotel (which... More

Description
Public house and venue situated on the banks of the river Tay, in Highland Perthshire.

The Taybank changed hands in Summer 2014 and is currently undergoing some much needed, and significant renovation work.
During the renovation, the bar has been open, the kitchen continues to get better and better under the supervision of our fantastic new head chef, and our music sessions play on...
