Nice atmosphere, no complaints about the service. My vegetarian pie was excellent. Red cabbage was not good. Extremely sweet and absolutely packed with raisins. More raisins than cabbage.

This is a very pleasant place with good ales and plenty of seating. The service was good and the recommended steak and ale pie was great. The location is in the center of the town and is quite convenient. I would recommend it for dinner.

Warm welcome and a lovely pit stop pint in the well situated central beer terrace at the front of the pub.

Fabulous pies and chicken and great staff. Nice signage over the door. Enter as strangers leave as friends. So true.

A casual dining experience in an 18th century inn. Savoury pies, made on the premises from local ingredients, are the speciality with light lunches, salads and snacks also available. A host of real ales, craft beers, traditional ciders and fine wines juggle for position on the bar for diners and drinkers alike.
