Went with my family en route to Chatsworth house - some very good pub grub with an extensive menu (often a bad sign but not here!). I personally had the venison burger - I found the marmalade a tad sweet and overpowering but my biggest...More

We visit this pub in the rolling Derbyshire farmland. The staff are always welcoming and approachable. The menu is extensive and varied. We particularly like the specials or the pies or burgers but the Cajun seared salmon is lovely. Today the specials included the best...More

Great food, wonderful beers, lovely service. Highly recommended. Best pub food in the area. Went with friends, all thought the same and we all had different meals. Generous portions too!

This was the first time since November 2016 that we'd returned to the Royal Oak. Nothing in for dinner and couldn't face shopping/cooking so a Sunday lunch was much looked forward to. Unfortunately, there was no beef left but not to worry, pork and lamb...More

Approximately 10 minutes drive. Straight out on the A515 to Ashbourne and take the right hand turn sign posted to Crowdecote and Longnor. We are then approx 800 metres from the A515 just the other side of the little bridge.
