I met two friends outside the Pizza Express today 14th February at 11.30 after one of my friends got her two children out of the car and into a pushchair we entered the restaurant. The manager came over and said that they do not open until 12.00. My friend asked as it was cold if we could wait in the... More

Arrived at 630pm on Saturday night and were seated in a raised seating area which was fairly empty. We were not assigned a waitress and that's where it all went wrong. We wanted to see the set price menu but had to wait to til the front of house manager seated other people to get her attention. She bought the... More

This Pizza Express certainly lives up to the brand expectations and carries the strong company reputation into this restaurant. Recently visited for lunch with a friend and had goats cheese and caramelised onion pizza for myself, with my friend having a chicken type pizza. In addition we had a sharer dough balls to start which came out shortly after our... More

I never liked Pizza Express in the past but recently we tried again and it's got so much nicer! We always come on a Monday or Tuesday because I have an NUS card and the savings are amazing. I love the Leggara pizzas and the Superboost salad is always a winner. Bruschetta for starters or for a cheeky side works... More

I visited this restaurant with my partner and four other people on 27th December. Our food order was taken swiftly at 6.30pm. By 6.45pm our starters arrived. By 7.20pm we started asking the staff where our pizza's were as we had booked to go to the cinema for a 7.45pm showing. We were told our food was being served up.... More

Pizza Express was always a reliable choice - slightly better pizzas, slightly more care in preparation and ingredients, and a relaxing place to have a meal. So i tried the Basildon branch in the Festival Park. What a mistake I'd booked a table for 8pm, but after waiting at the door for five minutes was totally ignored by the staff... More

Had a lovely visit here, Garlic bread and Garlic tomatoes to start, Pinata pizza with rocket, tomatoes, pine nuts, mushrooms and NO CHEESE. Followed by raspberry sorbet and a dark chocolate straw dairyfree. Bit pricey but worth it.

Not a lover of pizza restaurants as I believe there are many other places more deserving of my money for a decent dinner. However Pizza express does produce a reasonable rendition of a simple pizza and does have some flavour compared to others, would like them to add some mixed herbs t the top just to round off the flaour

Walked in, waited a while to be acknowledged. We were sat in the corner by the window and soon realised there were no reasons to take our coat off. When our waitress finally came over to offer a drink we asked to change tables to somewhere warmer, she agreed and went to, I assume, search for somewhere else to seat... More
