Popped in for a main course and pint. Ticked the boxes - food was ok, service same. Bit off putting having dog at next table eating noisily off floor - but suppose it’s something I’m not used too.

Went for an evening's meal with friends. Nice interior with a open fireplace, shame that it wasn't alight as it was blinking freezing. Would have stayed longer but to cold. Staff pleasant enough menu ok.

A ‘proper’ pub with a stunning interior, good beer, a friendly welcome and helpful staff. The fires were lit and there was a great atmosphere, even on a Monday lunchtime. We had scampi and chips which was well-presented and tasty (perfect chips!) and a salad...More

This is what pubs used to look like and it's such a pleasure to visit one. Beautiful wooden panelling dating back hundreds of years, uneven and twisted roof beams, real fire etc. Friendly welcome and great real ales. Food is good too - open prawn...More

Returned and we were not disappointed. Nostalgic setting real open fire welcoming and appreciated on a cold November afternoon. Menu was inviting and having enjoyed a light lunch and the odd pint we will be back. Highly Recommended - enjoy

Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn is the oldest public house in Banbury. Situated halfway down Parsons Street, in the town centre no visit to Banbury is complete without a visit to Ye Olde Reine Deer. A Hook Norton Brewery pub ensures the offering of mainstay Hooky beers and a seasonal guest, its even the breweries 'flagship' pub. The pub itself is over 400 years old and steeped in history and local folk law. The Globe room a hidden gem to the rear of the property used to be a common room for travelling gentry and is still clad in the original oak panelling, an incredible find and talking point. We serve food 12pm-3pm, 6pm-9pm Monday-Saturday and 2pm-3pm on Sunday. Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn has always had an impeccable reputation for great pub food and extremely well kept ale. We always aim to meet and exceed these very high standards.
