I have been here a couple of times for lunch, and get what I expect from a Wetherspoon. Quite a large pub, tables could be cleaned more frequently, staff always seem rushed, lacks a bit of the friendly/personal touch.

Real value for money meals & drinks. Nice pub interior, hard working staff. I don't like kids within the bar area, however. they keep an eye on youngsters without an identity card and legally refuse entry to families with kids after 9pm who nevertheless have the guts to give a negative feedback on tripadvisor

I always visit this Spoons when staying at a nearby Premier Inn hotel. They open early in the morning and you can rely on value for money breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Staff always friendly, toilets clean. Great to have a large range of condiments to choose from. Highly recommended!

Our steaks were fine and as it was Burns week they had an offer with a bottle of wine. £23 for the bottle of wine two steak dinners, two peppercorn sauces and 12 online rings and a lime and soda you just got... Ate here on New Year's Day as we struggled to find somewhere open to eat. A little bit dark and a lot of tables that hadn't been cleared. But food was delicious and great value with really good portions so we left happy and would use again

It's a weatherspoons and it serves its purpose. The food is ok, especially as it is so cheap, but don't go expecting any quality as that's not what you're paying for. Staff are happy enough and restaurant/toilets are kept clean and in good condition.

I have been a regular at this venue, food was nice and no problems with staff. However ate here recently and food arrived as my friend needed to go to bathroom. I was left with two handbags which I did not wish to leave unattended in a crowded restaurant. I asked the waitress if she could please bring me some... More

We are frequent visitors to the County and always rate it highly regarding it's service and value for money. On this occasion I've had to mark it down due to a sharp foreign body being found in the meal. (I believe it was a shard of plastic from a container) Luckily I did not swallow it, however this kind of... More

It's a typical Wetherspoons and probably the nicest pub in town...old converted hotel done very well. Usual range of great beers and cheap as ever! Well worth a look in if in town..

It's an ok pub for a quick drink. I'm not keen on the food.. it often seems hit and miss, sometimes you go and it's good others it's just not... so I no longer eat there. And it's so dark in there you need night vision goggles. The staff though are and have always been really friendly and helpful

Thank Victoria L
