Fantastic lunch with the kids and the dog. The food was reasonable and very tasty. Very dog-friendly with food options for the dogs as well and the two-legged troops.

We thoroughly recommend the tea rooms - unless you dislike dogs! We love the atmosphere the crowd who go there and seeing all our doggy friends. The food is great and not expensive. The dinners home cooked and really good value - it's not your posh messed around with stuff. Donna who runs the cafe is one of the nicest... More

We have used the carvery in Highdown Hotel in the past and are always looking out for a place to take the members pf our village club for the elderly so we visited the tea room and we were very impressed indeed. Such friendly staff with time for each customer served excellent food and plenty of it. The vegetable casserole... More

My wife and I visited these Tea Rooms for a light lunch two days ago - home-made Fish Pie on the menu was a real treat. Unfortunately my wife was deprived of her treat, Cottage Pie had just sold out, but the alternative (generous) helping of Cheese and Onion Quiche compensated adequately. Such a lovely little place to stop for some tea after a walk round the gardens. Really quaint and just so nice. Food is good, drinks are good, nothing fancy but it's exactly what you'd expect from an old style tea rooms.
