Was a little unsure on first arrival, super friendly owner couldn't have been more helpful. Food was freshly cooked and superb quality. Owners have been in for a year and best of luck to them.

Pros: Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Food was excellent and good value - both breakfast and evening meals. Beds very comfortable. Cons: Although ample power sockets in the room, there was no shaver socket in the en-suite - so remember to take an adapter if required Location: Close to Goodrich Castle and in easy distance of Symonds Yat. Ideal for a... More

My partner and I stayed at the Cross Keys on the weekend (Easter). I booked the room over the phone and also communicated with Mandy via email and it was so easy. Mandy and John were lovely people and made us feel very welcome. The room we stayed in was wonderful, with the wooden beams on show and the stone... More

A super little find! Under new ownership this pub is really great......we received a very warm welcome from the new Landlord & Landlady right from the start, in fact we were so impressed that we went back over the next few days! What a gem of a find. We were on our way back from Monmouth and saw a sign on the A40 'pub food served all day'. We thought we would take a chance and were not disappointed. A lovely charming little pub and the Landlord was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. He said he would fit us in for food,... More

The inn has four rooms, each one newly furbished, very comfortable and very good value at £59 for bed and breakfast. Proper full English breakfast,... More

The owner was very friendly. Food was pretty good. My lasagne was good, but beef burgers were ok. It was a good place to stop when you have a dog. We were unfortunately overcharged for beans on toast which we didnt check at that time.

We had dinner at the Cross Keys last night. My homemade Lasagne was the best I have ever tasted, hot and a good size portion served with salad and Garlic bread and chips. A cool glass of Pino hit the mark. My fiance had the Mixed grill of gammon, lamb, sausage, mushrooms and a very succulent steak sourced locally. We... More
