We had a set menu being a large business group and went on a Monday evening. I am always wary of set menus for large group but ordered the oyster mushroom ravioli - and it was excellent - possibly the best ravioli I have ever had! The chocolate pudding was also excellent. The only down side was that they missed... More

The first thing to say is that the dinner was very good an excellent value. I had a very nice steak and my wife the lamb. Both came with good vegetables - not overcooked but with a bit of crunch. The starters were excellent and the desserts lovely. However, this three course meal was over within the hour (45 minutes... More

Booked for Sunday lunch after a previous disappointing visit which was a big mistake We decided to make a return visit to the Chase Hotel for Sunday lunch after previously having had a poor afternoon tea experience at the beginning of the year. What a big mistake this proved to be. We ordered a drink at the bar and simultaneously... More

A family birthday dinner for 6, as non-residents of the hotel, this was pleasant, with good food from a decent and varied range, friendly and polite service and very reasonably priced. The L-shaped dining room is nicely and comfortably presented but lacks a little ambience - at least where we were sitting close to the lobby, slightly passageway to the... More

We throughly enjoyed afternoon tea at the Chase Hotel. The prompt, excellent service was combined with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The selection of home made savouries and cakes were delicious and meticulously presented. Highly recommended!

I took my mum for afternoon tea and it was one of the best I've had. Lovely sandwiches, warm homemade scones, a wonderful selection of cakes, lashings of tea and a glass of champers. It's not rocket science but so many other places seem to fail with their tea offering. This place has not. The experience was complemented by superb... More

We live in Ross-on-Wye and from time to time go our for a Sunday lunch. We have therefore been to Harry's Restaurant several times, with friends and family. Our last visit was on 22nd May 2016, having been there a week before with friends from Australia. We return there because of the good food, friendly service, and it also has... More

We visited The Chase for a Lions Club social weekend on a half board basis so had the pleasure of 3 breakfasts and 3 table d'hote dinners. The service and food was excellent. Can thoroughly recommend.

Ate here as part of our weekend break. Good choice and generous portions. Service on the whole good if a little serious.
