A family birthday dinner for 6, as non-residents of the hotel, this was pleasant, with good food from a decent and varied range, friendly and polite service and very reasonably priced. The L-shaped dining room is nicely and comfortably presented but lacks a little ambience - at least where we were sitting close to the lobby, slightly passageway to the... More

We throughly enjoyed afternoon tea at the Chase Hotel. The prompt, excellent service was combined with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The selection of home made savouries and cakes were delicious and meticulously presented. Highly recommended!

Stayed at the chase Hotel so had dinner for 3 nights at Harry's. Harry is a pleasant jovial character and produced some good menus

I took my mum for afternoon tea and it was one of the best I've had. Lovely sandwiches, warm homemade scones, a wonderful selection of cakes, lashings of tea and a glass of champers. It's not rocket science but so many other places seem to fail with their tea offering. This place has not. The experience was complemented by superb... More

We live in Ross-on-Wye and from time to time go our for a Sunday lunch. We have therefore been to Harry's Restaurant several times, with friends and family. Our last visit was on 22nd May 2016, having been there a week before with friends from Australia. We return there because of the good food, friendly service, and it also has... More

We visited The Chase for a Lions Club social weekend on a half board basis so had the pleasure of 3 breakfasts and 3 table d'hote dinners. The service and food was excellent. Can thoroughly recommend.

Ate here as part of our weekend break. Good choice and generous portions. Service on the whole good if a little serious.

I've recently had two meals at the Chase: once in Harrys Restaurant which was very good but the Restaurant was quite cold. A few days ago I ate lunch in the Bar which was both warm and comfortable. The food was excellent, especially the vegetarian option.

As a resident of the hotel I was dismayed when having a drink in the bar at 6:30 pm, to be told by a waiter to rush if I wanted to have a meal because of a large group in the ballroom. If I pay hotel prices for food should the management predict de,and and make staff roots appropriately. And... More
