Good drive know selection, looks Like good food menu but didn't try. Super busy on a Friday night, no seat except outside in a bit of light rain. Food smelt good.

Came here for a Sunday roast whilst on holiday in the area. Absolutely relish, lots of it, perfectly cooked and plenty of lovely vegetables. Staff were friendly, polite and very helpful.

The Lord Nelson is a historic pub with a warren of cosy rooms and a small enclosed beer garden at the back. Friendly staff will let you taste the real ale and cider before you decide which to buy. The rhubarb cider is very good....More

Had an overnight stay in Oakham after cycling Rutland Water. The Nelson is just as described by other reviewers. The menu had just changed and the staff were eager for feedback. The steak and ale pie was wonderful and the mac and cheese also great....More

Tucked away in a corner of Oakham Market Place, you'd think this place was tiny. But once you get inside it's huge! A group of 4 of us ate here. We all ordered pizzas (one of their specialties) each customised with our own choices of...More
I popped in this establishment with a good friend for a couple of beers whilst our ladies wondered around the shops. Sitting on the market square I found this to be a local pub which to be honest I would use regularly if I was...More
