We ate here with friends a few days ago. The food was good but when I ordered my wife a standard glass of wine and was charged £6.50 I thought they had made a mistake but when I queried it I was told that it was correct. It's a pity because we might have gone back a lot in the... More

Moored at Somerleyton. Easy access from the river via a picturesque track. I had the sausages and mash and my friend had the roast beef. The portions were not huge but any lack of quantity was more than compensated for by the quality. Every element of our meals was a pleasure. The range of beer was interesting and well kept... More

The quality of ingredients, atmosphere and staff were second to none. We felt we had to deduct a point due to there only being one vegetarian choice(?!) and that everytime we visit the menu changes so if you really enjoy something, don't expect to go back and enjoy it again. The meal sizes differ, some are huge and unable to... More

We're here in Lowestoft and its half term weekend so just about everywhere is full. We wanted to experience the local village pub atmosphere, so we had to head off pizza into the woolly wilds. We only ended up here by accident s the place we were really heading for was booked out (the Village Maid). Luckily the bar staff... More

We visited The Duke's Head for dinner during a week cruising around on the Broads. This was by far the best meal we had in Norfolk. The food here is outstanding. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would love eat there more often, pity we live so far away.

We visited one evening for a simple meal which cost £28 bangers and mash and a burger. Tasted OK but very average and poor value for money.

Sometimes it is nuce to go somewhere different rather a carvery for Sunday lunch with a menu to suit many types of taste buds including a roast. The food was both tasty and served up that was pleasing to the eyes as well as the pallet. After the main course we all enjoyed a sweet that someone had taken pride... More

Really nice food and beer, just off the moorings! Very welcoming staff! Beer and food to die for! Sorting me out as a gluten free freak! Really stunning and worth a visit!

Friendly local bar that also serves excellent food. Service was very good, food delicious, garlic bread very generous, all of our meals were faultless and I especially recommend a bottle of crianza.
