January 20th 2017, 12:20 lunchtime: I have used this pub for many years and was bitterly disappointed, outside seating area gravel covered in cigarette ends, roadside end of outside seating area covered with plastic litter from barrel tops and customer plastic rubbish, flower pot ash trays swimming with water and cigarette ends, entry steps and porch floor dirty and in... My family and I visited the Dukes Head for a boxing day meal. We were shown to our table and drinks were brought quickly to the table. We were then shown the menu which was brought out on a chalk board. Everyone huddled round in front of this chalk board to see what was on offer. Food was ordered and... More

We ate here with friends a few days ago. The food was good but when I ordered my wife a standard glass of wine and was charged £6.50 I thought they had made a mistake but when I queried it I was told that it was correct. It's a pity because we might have gone back a lot in the... More

Moored at Somerleyton. Easy access from the river via a picturesque track. I had the sausages and mash and my friend had the roast beef. The portions were not huge but any lack of quantity was more than compensated for by the quality. Every element of our meals was a pleasure. The range of beer was interesting and well kept... More

The quality of ingredients, atmosphere and staff were second to none. We felt we had to deduct a point due to there only being one vegetarian choice(?!) and that everytime we visit the menu changes so if you really enjoy something, don't expect to go back and enjoy it again. The meal sizes differ, some are huge and unable to... More

We're here in Lowestoft and its half term weekend so just about everywhere is full. We wanted to experience the local village pub atmosphere, so we had to head off pizza into the woolly wilds. We only ended up here by accident s the place we were really heading for was booked out (the Village Maid). Luckily the bar staff... More

We visited The Duke's Head for dinner during a week cruising around on the Broads. This was by far the best meal we had in Norfolk. The food here is outstanding. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would love eat there more often, pity we live so far away.
