Took mum and dad to the Grouse and Claret for dinner on their Diamond Wedding day. Had a fantastic evening, Vicki even decorated the table with sparkles. The meal was delicious, the flavours and presentation was first class. Cannot thank them enough for a super evening.

Went here to celebrate my birthday yesterday but have to say we were both disappointed in the food. The choice of lunch menu was acceptable apart from the Navarian lamb not being available and had been replaced with sausage and mash which i thought was fairly basic. The ham and lentil soup was good, piping hot and bread was nice... More

Many thanks to Vicki, David and the team for making our wedding absolutely perfect! From early planning stages, right up to the day itself and even beyond, Vicki was friendly, helpful and generous. Everyone commented on the quality of both the food and the service, and of course the setting is beautiful! Would highly recommend the Grouse & Claret, for... More

Came here on a cold January Sunday afternoon. Great menu and tasty food, very friendly staff and accommodating for a troublesome toddler. We highly recommend this place.

I celebrated my birthday here on 29th December my friend and I had a lovely lunch . It was somewhere I had wanted to go for a long time and I was not disappointed. The staff were very welcoming and it was hard to believe we were only a mile or so away from the main road. A lovely view... More

The restaurant is small with an adjacent sitting area where pre lunch or dinner drinks are served. We did wait one half hour for a table but it was comfortable and our drinks were accompanied by olives and handmade crisps, The lunch menu was interesting and well presented by pleasant staff.

This restaurant is in a country house with scenic views and is just off the M90. We were greeted by staff who were welcoming and obliging. The menu was varied and included some far eastern dishes. Perhaps the chilli needs to be turned down for western tastes - the oriental salad which accompanied the pork fritters and the lamb tagine... More
