It is quirky. It has a mad owner. It only serves pies (and chips). But they are probably going to be the best pies you'll ever have. Highly recommended in a town that offers nothing else (food wise) to be fair.

What an absolute gem of a place. If you are in the area, don't look down your nose at simple "pie and chips", because if you do......you will lose out! Robbie, the host, is a slightly manic but most entertaining gentleman and ensures that the second you walk in, you are put at ease and made feel welcome. His mum,... More

Still very good but remember this is not fine dining. The connoisseur pies are on the go as usual and the crack from the bar is very good but if you are thin skinned forget it. You must be able to take the banter which is non stop. Great atmosphere and very pleasant staff except Robbie of course! Just joking

Landlord / barman is a nutter But it's a great nite out. Extensive menu, Pie and chips or Pie and chips, or on the specials board Pie and chips if you don't like pie and chips your on to a looser. Oh and as an extra your dog gets a Bonio.

We usually eat here about twice a year when we are in the area. What can I say?.... nothing changes. It's obviously popular as it was very busy on a Monday night. It's a basic pie menu with a selection of about 8 pies to choose from. They come with chips for £7.75, with peas and 'laughing' gravy extra. They... More

Great Pies at cracking prices, gourmet standard, don't miss this hidden treasure behind the main street, Pies are all they do, but you can't go wrong here if you have the appetite.

Description
This bar/restaurant haz a lovely feel about it. There is a small bar with an open fire. Speciality food..pies. A variety of pies to choose from including vegetarian fillings. The supplier provides the uncooked pies and the bar cook them. We were told exactly how long we would need to wait before we could eaf right from the start. All pies served with chips anx and cost about £7.25ish. Beans and gravy cost extra. Tbe pies are to die for.
