Visited recently and had lunch in the conservatory area, great locaation with good views and large car park, the place wasnt very busy, and the food was okay, but nothing special, but service was very slow and it took an age for the staff to clear the tables adjacent to us.

6 of us visited on Good Fri evening. Good sized car park. We were quickly seated at a lovely table by the window looking out over the water. Ambience of this place is great. Seats were stained though. Service was friendly but a bit disorganised with staff unsure what other staff had or hadn't already done/told us about. However the... More

Delicious food and good, friendly service. We were lucky to be sat in the window overlooking the river which added to the overall experience. The only mistake was that several of our dishes were missing their vegetables. As soon as this was pointed out the staff brought replacement vegetables. So all was resolved happily. We will be back.

Repeat visit and great setting with equally great service! Claire! Florentine dessert gorgeous but not a florentine you'd expect. But won't disappoint. Thank you to our polite and professional waitress Claire who worked tirelessly and kept smiling all the way. Fantastic night again!

Undergone a full refurb since our last visit many years ago. Feels a bit more up market although prices were pretty average. Menu choices wide and staff helpful. Didn't have to wait too long either. All of us enjoyed our choices. The intial welcome was a bit cool, turned up on spec. Restaurant was 80% empty and the Maître D... More

If you want views and great scenery you should start here. The food is out of this world too. The venue is really lovely. Well decorated. My absolute favourite place on Devon. The roast is out of this world. The chocolate bomb is ridiculously amazing. We love this place.

A few years ago we were regulars at Coombe Cellars, the location is stunning and the food was good. Then after a couple of poor visits we have not been back for 2 years. With gorgeous weather recently we decided to give it another go. As a party of 4 the food was variable. The duck salad and salmon was... More

Lovely setting right next to the estuary with lots of seating outside which was nice as was lovely bright evening. Drinks were served quickly while we studied varied and full menu. Service by Jade was first class not rushing us and she had good knowledge of available food. Food was bit slow in coming but was worth the wait as... More
