As we were staying almost next door at Tigh Mor, we were delighted to find that the Bistro was opening the Friday before we left. We've eaten here many times and it never fails to please. The food is beautifully presented and incredibly fresh. Service is good and the ambience is great. We'll continue to come again, our invariable criteria.

We attended a Wedding Reception at the Scott's Bistro on the 31st December 2016. The food was exemplary and not the service was great and presentation of the food was really good. I can't recommend this place enough. I actually ate the soup starter because is was so delicious and I don't usually eat soup at all. Everything about this... More

We stayed at Tigh Mor to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday on St Andrews day. the bistro served up a delicious 4 course meal and local band Drovers Rd provided some excellent music - even played happy birthday!! We then returned for another meal later in week and again had great night. Setting, food, service and atmosphere all second to... More

My wife and I dined at Scott’s Bistro three times during our visit to HPB’s Tigh Mor. The dining room takes about 20 tables, some for couples, some for four or more diners … and from what we saw, I suspect every one is used each evening. When booking, you’ll be offered a dining time .. presumably to ensure the... More

We were staying at the HPB and decided to eat at Scotts bistro after a couple of long walks and wanted something on site. It is a lovely atmosphere, fabulous food- some of the best fish I've ever eaten and lovely wine. Not too expensive, and after the first time we liked it enough that we returned for a 2nd... More

We've stayed at a number of HPB properties and not been particularly impressed by the on site restaurants on most of them. Scott's however is refreshingly different. There is no sign of complacency in the quality of food or service despite having an almost captive market. We were a party of two couples and ate there twice. Everything we had... More

Having been blessed with perfect autumn weather for our short break at Tigh Mor, we visited Scotts Bistro one evening. The food was excellent - not the widest choice of dishes but everything was beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the environment relaxing. We will definitely return on our next visit.

Recently returned from a lovely stay at HPB Tigh Mor, due to our busy schedule could only eat here once on our last night. The food was wonderful, especially the pulled pork for starters and the cream of mushroom soup. We found the portions generous and was presented well, both the owner and staff were very attentive, we had some... More
