Decided to head here for breakfast on the spur of the moment, and arrived just as they opened. Warmly greeted by the bar staff and allowed to choose our table. We ordered full breakfast ( with a couple of changes ) and tea and coffee. The drinks came very quickly and were accompanied by a little croissant , which was... More

Ok I generally moan about everything when I go out. The food ,the service, you name it. However here is a place I will keep coming back too. Now I have read the bad reviews here and cannot reconcile them with the experience I have had here. Someone said £8.50 for a glass of wine which is bad but I... More

We've enjoyed 2 visits since The Nothe has changed ownership. Food very good on both lunch and evening visits with friendly service. Decor is lovely & relaxed atmosphere. All the best & we will be recommending.

As a family we took a long weekend away down in Weymouth, and found what can only be described as a hidden gem. We popped in after visiting the Fort for brunch. We were greeted with friendly faces and a warm atmosphere that made us feel incredibly welcome. A couple of us had the full English breakfast, and what a... More

We were a party of five celebrating a birthday and wanted something decent but not too expensive. First of all they had no idea of our reservation, despite calling that afternoon, but we were found a table, so not to much of an issue. My mother and I ordered the fish dish: Plaice with gnocchi and new potatoes, the men... More

My husband and I wanted to eat there during the summer, but were disappointed that the Nothe Tavern was closed due to renovation. This weekend (6 November 2016) we found they were open and booked our table for three for Sunday Lunch. The service was professional, in spite of the workload for the girls: doing the bar, waiting on the... More

Absolutely gorgeous place. Fantastic staff, gorgeous decor, lovely atmosphere and the most amazing food! On a miserable, drizzly day we sat in the bar area near the warm fire in wonderfully comfy wingback chairs. We would have opted for the even more comfy looking sofas but fear my husband might have nodded off! We ordered from the lunch menu. My... More

Went for lunch with my partner. Lots of choice on the menu and specials board. My partner had faggots (2) with horseradish mash (1 ladle) and some red wine jus. I had hake with skinny fries and sauce tartare. Both portions were tiny, but they were both delicious. We decided we would rather have small portions of delicious food than... More

Visited here for coffee and complimentary croissant. The staff were very welcoming (they also welcome dogs) and we sat at a table with great views over the roof tops & out to sea. Last time we visited, it was quite run down but has undergone a recent revamp under new management/ownership. The coffee was really good and the croissant a... More
