Passing by and tried the Mainwaring Arms as it looked like a good traditional English pub. Beer selection good, decent menu choice and the portion sizes were good (we were hungry). Recommend the steal and ale pie - a PROPER pie - succulent filling encased...More

It's a good review! We went for dinner, just the two of us, and we enjoyed a tasty, delicious meal. This was supplemented, of course, with a choice beer (him) and gin & bt (her). Clearly locals drink here but we were made to feel...More

Stopped off here after day out walking and was exactly what we were looking for. Traditional British pub, with good hearty food, plenty of choice and reasonable prices. We both opted for the pie and chips, the pie had lots of steak inside, was delicious...More

Good food, local produce. Charming pub with plenty of character, nooks and crannies to sit and drink or eat! Clearly a local pub with regulars. If I was passing, would call in again - good food and well priced.
