Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights last weekend. First impressions on arrival that the hotel looked a bit tired and paintwork could do with a freshen up. We were greeted by a friendly receptionist and stayed in room 305 a room with a lake facing view. It was a very nice view too and despite the miserable weather we... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Relaxed and friendly staff, beautiful and tasty food and glorious outlook over the Lake from the dining room. We were given the break away as a wedding gift and having visited once, would happily recommend and easily return here....for us it was ideal. Many thanks to all at Craig Manor.

One of the best meals we've had in a long time and we eat out a lot. Top notch service, the food was amazing, huge portions and loads of flavour and very well presented, can't wait for breakfast!

This is the third or perhaps fourth time we have stopped here. The last time was a couple of years ago. Well located hotel, easy walk to Bowness for eateries. But the hotel itself is starting to look its age decor-wise. Wallpaper in bedroom had been caught in a few places and looked shabby. Bedroom furniture had stained wooden surfaces,... More

Visited for Sunday lunch. Very good lunch. Three courses for a fixed price. Window seats have views of the lake. Food was very good. The main course is a Carvery so you take as much as you wish. When we visited the choice was Lamb, Turkey or Beef. No complaints.

During daylight hours the view from the restaurant over the lake is superb. The food was excellent and staff competent and friendly.

Lovely hotel. Breakfast is a must. Ample parking. Huge bed. Quite a small room but enough for a small amount of luggage. ( not enough for me though) Family run hotel . Carpet and decor a little tired but added to the charm. Nice to see the over 80's on their ipads . Lovely views, Litteraly a five minute walk... More

We booked in for Fri to Sunday to celebrate my cousins 50th, they had been before so booked for us all 10 adults altogether. On arrival the receptionist booked us in and told us were our room was. The hotel is very dated and basic for the price we paid, we expected better. Breakfast was self service and adequate. We... More

20+ of us went to this hotel for a dinner following a wedding at Kendal. The reception staff were very helpful in assisting with allocating rooms. The evening meal was excellent, as was the breakfast the next morning. The only downside were the bar prices! Easy walking distance to both Bowness and Windermere.
