Saw a chalk board advertising the Tea Rooms; it was a 2 minute walk and well worth finding.. A warm welcome on a very cold day, and we went for their lunch offer which was a bowl of freshly made French onion soup, the best savoury cheese sandwich I've ever had, and a good cup of coffee. Just the job,... More

Found by chance in back street in Bowness for some lunch. Had home made soup which was absolutely delicious served with warm bread. Was difficult to choose which homemade cake to have as all looked scrumptious, went for scone with cream and jam which was lovely whist you husband had the fruit cake. Prices very reasonable. Will certainly visit again... More

It's not on the usual tourist trek but thanks to a sign we ended up here. We all had the soup and sandwich which was very good and fresh. We would drop in again for coffee and some amazing looking cake. So head there next to the Post Office and get a treat.

Service was slow as theybwere one staff short , the wait for our hot drinks were too long. Personally i think the place had poor ventilation, the whole smelled like we were in the kitchen so when... Came across this little gem pottering the little streets of Bowness. Dogs are welcome indoors, although outdoor seating is available too. The service was very good and the food was even better. Even Milly the Maltese was offered dog treats on a saucer!!! The toasties that my daughter & I had were great & my son gave his sausage &... More

We were very cold when we arrived at the tea room, having walked the dog for a few hours. The welcome we received from the owner and his staff warmed us up, before we even perused the menu. I opted for soup and sandwiches. My bowl of soup was lentil and smoked bacon,...absolutely delicious and piping hot. Cheese and chutney... More

We stumbled across this tea room while waiting for our room to be ready in our hotel. We went in and sat down, a family of 5. The little old lady who was serving had attitude as soon as we went in. She definitely needs some training on front of house customer service. We ordered our food which seemed expensive,... More
