Staying in the hotel and being impressed by this wonderful building and our lovely suite we were looking forward to eating at Oscars. The restaurant is beautifully set out and is clean and welcoming. We were shown to a table in the conservatory which suited us as it was away from the busier part of the restaurant. We had booked... More

Food is absolutely fantastic we had eaten here quite a few times and have never been disappointed with the food. The service is always 100%. We do not live local but if we did, then we would definitely eat here more often

My other half took me to Oscar's for my birthday so we decided to splash out a bit on the steaks. Both steaks (mine was fillet, his was ribeye) were cooked exactly as we'd requested and were served with a generous portion of chips and peppercorn sauce. The wine was perfect as well - my white was well chilled and... More

Staying at Abbey House Hotel we had heard good things about Oscar's and booked in a meal on our first night. I do not usually leave negative reviews however I feel that this feedback could be beneficial for both the restaurant and people visiting. Service was slow and not attentive. We noticed people around us gettin served much faster and... More

Disappointing lunch which I had high expectations for. Felt food was overpriced and lacked flavour. Ordered the pate to share as a starter (pretty average), husband had the pasta with meatballs as a main (meatballs tasty but sauce bland and uninspiring) and I had the vegetable pasta and again nothing at all to write home about. For dessert I ordered... More

We had a private party in the conservatory for a family celebration, it was great, the scenery & location is fabulous, the staff were attentive & the food was lovely, we couldnt have asked for more. We retired in the bar after dinner & that was very relaxing.

We went for a celebration meal. The service was friendly and accommodating. This is the second time I have been, although I enjoyed the food I would not describe the quality of the food as outstanding. I had the half chicken which was quite dry and slightly overcooked. On the first visit I had fillet steak with triple cooked chips... More
