A fun place for a light lunch. We had great scones with clotted cream and jelly. Never had clotted cream before and it is a real treat. The owner and his wife were there and treated everyone like “long lost” friends. Very warm and inviting....More

Right near the Cathedral, this is perfectly located and there is a lovely little outside seating area. Quite a few steps up to the actual cafe but well worth it. Scones were fabulous and big pots of tea. Would definitely return if back in Durham.

Durham is packed with lunch rooms serving scones. Cafedral is a good choice with a big spacious room and some small tables outside. We decided to sit inside as there were too many wasps about. Food was mostly very good, the pie and the panninis...More

This is a stupendous architectural marvel. Considering that it was created hundred of years ago without any computerised design or modern machinery or techniques. The whole thing is humbling.

We're a cosy, family run café in Durham City with an eclectic style. We sell a range of delicious home-made food and hot drinks throughout the day - perfect for breakfast, lunch or just a light meal. Located at the top of Saddler Street, just before the Cathedral, it's the perfect location to stop for a bite to eat or a slice of cake. Just look out for the bright blue door and flowers. If the weather's nice why not sit in our courtyard and people watch whilst enjoying a coffee and one of our renowned deli platters.
