While staying just down the road near Brewlands Bridge, we stumbled across this spot, and ended up eating here three times and coming once for just a drink. The steak pie was phenomenal, but also the chicken with haggis, the lasagna, the fish and chips...More

Not long back from an amazing meal at Glenisla Hotel. Best steak pie I've had and loved the Bailey's Affogato! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere! Looking forward to the next visit.

Decided to try this hotel after good reports from others. Nice decor, very clean, waitress nice and friendly and steak pie was lovely. Open fire is a nice touch. Will definitely return at some point.

We visited today for lunch. We had emailed beforehand to see if they allowed dogs. They did. So it was the two of us and two golden retrievers. You don't really pass this place - you drive to it. It is remote but worth the...More

Lovely place great atmosphere mainly created by the locals who are a great bunch of folk so friendly, lots going on for this small idilic place, great food and a good selection of alcohol. Well worth a visit even if just for coffee.

An off chance visit which will certainly repeated. Super bar lunch which was nicely cooked with a substantial portion. Just what you need if you've been on the hill or fishing all day. Friendly staff and a building which still has character. Long may it...More

I've cycled from Forfar twice now to the Glenisla hotel for lunchtime soup, its homemade & fantastic. You won't find any better. Great inn & friendly staff too. If you visit in winter the wood burning fire is lovely.
