Been here several times now over the years and always had a good meal. Wee bit pricey for what you get but it's decent food so can't complain.

Last visited this pub in my youth and now, many years later returned for old times' sake. As pub food goes, it was reasonably good but don't expect a gourmet experience. Pleasant atmosphere and staff.

This is a lovely pub just down the road from where we stayed at the Springfield Lodge. Had a pint of the local beer to start with before dinner. Its not a touristy place and the bar is inhabited by locals mainly. Had the chicken...More

Very little choice for diner who is both coeliac and bovine intolerant. Server could not point out allergens in food without reference to kitchen. Service very slow. Waited 30 mins before order was taken.

I took my brother and mother to the Birds and the Bees. Service was very good and friendly, and we also received our food quickly. We all had the soup to start which I enjoyed, but my mom found it slightly salty and not a...More

Great food, I had the vegetable fajitas which were so good .... tastier than some of the Mexican Restaurants I've been too. Also a great choice of beers. Nice atmosphere and good attentive staff.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Great selection, reasonably priced, flavoursome food, family friendly and even our dog was allowed in. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were friendly what more could you ask for.

My wife and I ate at Birds and Bees last night. We were - on the whole- disappointed. The food was mediocre- except the battered fish which my wife enjoyed. The chips served with the fish were announced on the menu as 'skin on' but...More

We stopped there a couple of times for a beverage and one time for dinner. They were very accommodating to my ordering their grilled fish on a salad and it was perfect (it was not on the menu). Their mussels were excellent and I would...More

Description
An award winning restaurant situated in the green and pleasant village of Causewayhead in Stirling, The Birds and The Bees is a dining room built around a passion for food. Located in an old one story whitewashed farmstead, The Birds and The Bees proudly displays its rusticity, with cartwheels on the outside walls, a choice of two beer gardens and exposed brick and open fires aplenty inside. The result is a cosy and warm, the lighting kept low and an eclectic mix of old and new decorative touches providing character and a talking point too. As an informal wine-bar and bistro, The Birds and The Bees has an informal atmosphere matched by the menu, a tempting collection of dishes both locally and internationally influenced, all using locally sourced produce wherever possible. The kitchen staff really care about the food theyre cooking, evidenced by not only the high level of flavour in their homecooked dishes but also in the careful, attractive presentation of every plate. Drink options include a great many carefully selected wines as well as excellent ales and lagers on tap.
