A great place to chill, enjoying excellent company, food and surroundings. Our room (6) had lovely views of the garden and beyond - and was quiet. Easy, safe parking. Village has no shops and no public transport (sorry 1 bus /week).

We tried The New Inn on the off chance we could get a meal here as most places in the area were either not serving or had to be pre-booked. They managed to squeeze us in thankfully and we did not mind the bit of a wait for a table. The meals were all well worth the wait, Staff were... More

My partner and I have been to this little place many times to eat and have NEVER been disappointed. Delicious food and everybody makes you feel so at home and part of the local community.

We had an excellent meal at the New Inn. Its menu is typical pub grub cooked to a high standard. A brewery is attached and its beer is outstanding. Shame about the service.. it took nearly an hour for us to be served. So if you go there we advise that you check the waiting time before ordering as we... More

We were staying in Cropton village and visited the New Inn on three occasions. The staff were very hospitable and the service was very good. We were disappointed with the food. Scampi was greasy, tagliatelle was actually spaghetti and the goats cheese tart was a bought pastry case filled with a bit of tomato and a slice of cheese on... More

I have been to The New Inn before but usually just for a drink or two, the beer is a delight and the staff always friendly so it is a lovely place to go. You can sit outside in the beer garden and while away the time. Today was the first time we had been for food, first but certainly... More

Such a lovely little place. On a weekend getaway as a group of friends and we hired bikes and rode into Pickering and stumbled upon this pub. Very cosy inside and lovely service. Ordered Beer sausage and mash and was to die for. Would definitely go back again.

The food here is nice, but we would have liked a bit more choice. We dined on a Sunday evening, so the choices were roast dinner or fish dishes. The staff very pleasant and attentive.

Had a very nice lunch here on a very hot day. Dog friendly inn with a pleasant beer garden. They have there own microbrewery and serve all there own beers and lagers so don't expect the usual offerings.
