We called in here for coffee with friends whilst visiting Pickering. Lovely, quirky place with stylish furnishings (think reclaimed and beautifully painted pews and tables). The coffee and scones/cakes were excellent, and served with a smile. A member of our party, who drinks neither tea nor coffee thought his strawberry milkshake was delicious. Another of our friends loved the coffee,... More

Today me and my family also with some friends visited pickering and came across a cafe called lazy sundae. The food and service was outstanding. Prices were fair. The deserts at the cafe were brilliant. If only we lived closer to the cafe we would be regulars.

We stumbled upon this cafe on a wintry Sunday lunchtime. Attractive decor, delicious wrap sandwiches beautifully served with salad and chutney. Would happily stop there again when visiting Pickering!

We were recommended this cafe by a lady passing by and I was so glad we stopped to ask her. (We have definitely been shown the best cafes/restaurants by asking in this way). Initially we thought it was a little expensive but as we were tired and hungry and had been told how good it was we decided to stay... More

A lovely coffee shop which also does some very nice food too. The bacon sandwiches are excellent and the salads are delicious. They are happy to prepare my coffee how I like it and the homemade cakes are fabulous.

I had what was described as a good bacon sandwich. I would describe it as a really good bacon sandwich. My wife's was very hearty soup, fresh and very satisfying. Tea for two in two big pots. Great food in nice surroundings with good service. Want more!

Me and the wife called in here for a late morning brunch on a cold morning whilst shopping. The wife opted for the Victoria sponge which looked and tasted lovely, but beware of the massive portion. However, being a bloke recovering from a few too many the night before, I needed man food - so I opted for a second... More

The food they serve here is all it should be, fresh, tasty, attractively presented, generous portions. And all this is backed up by a welcoming friendly service. A thoroughly good place to have lunch. We both had sandwiches brimming with flavour. But the crowning glory was hot chocolate that REALLY tastes of chocolate. That alone would justify a visit. And... We visited this cafe today. Whilst there we ordered 2 cups of coffee each and 2 pieces of cake. I had almost finished my second cup of coffee when a man who I assume was the owner manager came out to clear the table. The second I finished my coffee he took the cup. We were just contemplating whether we... More
