This pub is situated in a lovely area and had a warm friendly atmosphere. I got the feeling it was frequented by locals and there was a buzz in the bar. We ate in the restaurant area and were the only people in so a very quiet atmosphere. The menu gave a varied choice of your usual pub standards and... More

Visited last Thursday with four of my friends. Horses parked outside the door and inside there were a joyful atmosphere and a large cheerful crowd and behind the bar were friendly, welcoming and equally cheerful staff. Although cheerful it wasn't louder than that you could hold a pleasant conversation. We had food and it was a good honest pub-grub, not... More

Located in the most delightful village on the edge of Bodmin Moor the Blisland Inn is one side of the village green and the Parish church the other side; wonderful! This is a popular public house with a good reputation for its beer. There is ample choice with up the eight hand pumps serving a wide variety of mostly Cornish... More

Hunted this one down as it has a good reputation for cask ales & totally justified. Great choice of seven cask ales & all very reasonably priced compared with the average price of a pint. The Blisland sits in a pretty little 'hamlet' on top of the Camel Trail, is totally unspoilt & full of interesting bits & pieces obviously... More

Blisland is a lovely Cornish village, a little bit remote but it is worth finding just to see this pub. when you enter you get a friendly greeting and then you realise that you have entered a truly historic building to which little has been done for hundreds of years. We moved from Cornwall about 10 years ago so it... More

Came here years ago and loved it. Back again today and in a good way I really can't tell much has changed - perfect. It's a rarity in these parts in that it's not another blooming poshed St Austell pub or some country gastro pub. It's just a real old pub with a great focus on real ale especially Cornish... More

Despite living all of my 53 years in The Duchy, I had never been to Blisland until today. What a beautiful little village. Walked into the pub to a fantastic welcome. We were too late for the Sunday roast so had to eat from the bar menu which gave a good choice of basic pub food. Well presented and tasty.... More

After an hours walk along the Camel Trail the Blisland Inn was a welcome sight and we, along with our dog, were welcomed like regulars. The real ales were well kept and we were soon glad of the news that there was a local taxi in a neighbouring village. There was a steady stream of customers and dogs through the... More

We enjoyed really good pub food here in October as part of a holiday locally. A lovely welcoming atmosphere for dogs and their humans.

We popped in here for a beer and wished we didn't have the car - the beer was so good. Try the Buddah beer, a fantastic pint, easy to drink! The Landlord is an ex-matelot and very friendly. The pub has old world charm and an extensive menu. Whilst we didn't eat here, the food coming from the kitchen looked... More
