Summer night, first ones in the restaurant so got all of the owner's attention. We were looked after like if we were family. We went with 3 children and it was no problem at all; on the contrary, they all went for a peak in the kitchen and all tried new foods!! the atmosphere, the view and of course the... More

We have been several times and never been disappointed. Owner and a lady do the cooking and serving, and he will sit down at your table to discuss the details of what and how the food is prepared and served. Do not expect quick efficiency, just a laid back but perfectly tasting affair.

Last year we were in the Maremma/Caldana for a period of time. We were told about this resturant, but we never visited it. This year, we have decided to go there on the first night of our arrival, and the only thing that we have said to each other was " why we didn't go there last year?", as this... More

We stayed in Caldana for 6 nights and ate here once. Certainly worth the visit the host was very welcoming and had a good rapport with all the tables, entertaining but not intrusive. The food was good quality local food.

One of the best meat dishes I've had for a long time.....two friendly maitre'd's, one with excellent English......but very slow......wouldn't recommend with lots of kids or in a hurry......with time on your hand, then great.

We spent 10 days travelling though Tuscany and this was our best meal of the holiday. The owners were very friendly, and the chef spoke good English to translate the menu for us and tell us more about the food. We took all of his recommendations, particularly of local specialties, and I didn't regret it! The starters of bresaola, toasted... More

we went there three times and every time the food was very good. The owners - older couple - are friendly and if you have any wish outside the a la carte menu they always tried to do their best to fulfilled it.

Description
Open from 200.7 in Caldana, in the heart of the metalliferous hills of Maremma. The La Gricia well as offering a typical local cuisine,, wisely elaborates the classic Romanesque kitchen. The restaurant has an attractive terrace. The use of superior quality raw materials, such as, Chianina beef, Cinta Senese, locally caught fish and a wide selection of fine local wines will offer a pleasant dining experience. We wait
