The first time visit was super!! Had heard that it was the best fried chicken around----and it is!! Very generous portions, crispy, juicy, flavorful. We were VERY happy with the mean---and service was great. Friendly staff---a little slow serving, but we didn't mind the wait. It was worth it. Second time not as happy with it, but it was okay.... Wanted to try the taco salad friends told me was pretty good. It wasn't. The taco itself did not taste good. The salad seemed fresh but not noteworthy. Salad was nothing to write home about. The place seemed dirty to me. Can't say that I'd go back. Have to say that the staff is friendly. I had no complaints there.

After reading some restaurant reviews for The Villages, we settled on McCall's for fried chicken. It met every superlative ... hot, crispy, meaty, and sufficient. Between my wife and me, we had four different sides, and all were very good. It was Halloween and we met Trump, Elvis, and a number of other characters. It was also karaoke night with... More

It's casual dining at a sports bar type of pub. Food is reasonably priced and good. My favorite is the fried chicken which is not greasy but has a light fluffy batter coating and a juicy insides. It's the BEST! They have karaoke night and other entertainment at times. It's located right next to a gorgeous bowling alley. Bowl a... More

We heard the fried chicken was excellent and it was. We will go back again to try other items on the menu. Be prepared to wait 45 minutes at least after putting in your order since they cook each order when it goes to the kitchen. They don't hold the chicken under heat lamps.

If you dine here on your birthday, you can order anything on the menu and get it FREE! You must show ID of course. Their fried chicken dinner is wonderful and you get 4 pieces - enough to share. They also have specials on beer. Dining outdoors is the best.

Felt like I had just took a step back in time and entered a neighborhood bar. Flt at home. Was welcomed and food was good.

Service was spotty and extremely slow, but the fried chicken was delicious. After ordering it took 1 hour and 5 minutes to receive our chicken, chicken was perfectly fried and the sides were good. The potato salad was terrific, but green beans were ordinary at best. The best fried chicken was the best we have had in Florida. Price for... More

I agree with all the other reviews. The fried chicken dinner is the best I've eaten. The skin coating is light but crispy. It is 4 pieces, a wing, thigh, breast, and leg, along with two sides. The gravy on the mashed potatoes was yummy! Order extra for 89 cents. All this for under $13.00. Plus happy hour prices on... More
