Excellent cuisine - here I would like to highlight especially the tastefully tender roast beef with delicious seasonal mushrooms and the unique lavender pannacotta, although with the delicious selection you don't even know which dishes to highlight.

Four of us had lunch in this wonderful setting. It was an excellent lunch menu with wonderful ingredients and a wonderful taste experience. We have been customers of the family for many years and it is admirable how the food is cooked here to an extremely high standard. The wine advice and service were also perfect. We will come here again and again.

An increase from time to time - fascinating!
We ate the tasting menu and it was one better than the other. Outstanding is the jocob mussel, which you don't find as exciting in Italy either - yes, you do, but good luck searching.
Also the wine accompaniment was simply fitting - here too: Thanks Nico Stöhr (Sommellier)

Surprised with the best lunch I’ve had in Austria. Excellent service, attention to detail and tasty meal. A great place for real foodies. Even worth a trip from Vienna for a weekend lunch out of town. We had the duck with Maroni - was perfect.

We stopped with friends for a lunch. Everything was excellent. The small castle is charming, the atmosphere friendly and cozy. Service was remarkably kind and oh-the-food! The entré, the main course and the desert (which is a very rarely something to remember I think) were all delicious and special. Really a fantastic and tasteful menu. I will definitely come back.
Ps: when they mean slow food, it really is on the long lunch side, but we had time :)

I have been there more often mostly business diners and every time food was excellent and outstanding service. It's a family business serving slow food and just using local ingredients, some even grown in their own garden. Everything is absolutely fresh cookedand they offer food going with the seasons. The waitress is a certified sommelier she knows everything about the wine they offer and has the best recommendations explained in a very charming way. Also the bar in a seperate room offers local drinks, gems seldom offered in other restaurants.
Atmosphere is special you dine in an old castle very nicely renovated. The garden restaurant is perfect for warm summer nights.

Stopped over for lunch on the way from skiing holidays. We had fish and dry aged steak, amazing taste and quality. Definitely worth stopping for on of their 5-7 course menus!

This lovely restaurant nestled in the mountains is worth a detour for lunch. The young waitstaff are clearly still in training but are friendly and attentive. The dishes are elevated versions of regional specialties that are well-seasoned and nicely presented. The most visually striking dish was the complimentary spreads to go with the bread. Overall an enjoyable lunch in a beautiful setting.

This beautiful restaurant is hidden away in Zeltweg. As usual with excellent restaurants the menu is limited to good quality local produce prepared with care and attention, exquisitely presented and simply delicious. Well worth a visit and I would happily return.

Four of us arrived without booking on the Friday of the Austrian GP weekend and were lucky enough to get the one remaining table. We received a warm welcome from Karin & Alexander and the service from the whole team remained at that high level for the whole evening.
And then there's the food. It is simply outstanding, genuinely up there with the best meals we have ever had. Produce is locally sourced and the flavours are sensational. Every individual herb in my splendid "summer garden" starter contributed beautifully to the dish. The kohlrabi soup was exquisite.
This is an absolute diamond of a restaurant. We will definitely be back the next time we are at the Red Bull Ring.

I came across this restaurant when a friend found it on Tripadvisor during the Grand Prix weekend. It's a little hard to find and even when you arrive you're not quite sure you've found it but once we were in, we knew this was the place.
They have two dining rooms, one which was beautifully decorated with a classy interior and a second slightly smaller room which felt a lot more intimate.
The service was attentive with a personal touch and the 4 course meal was exquisite. I had the ham and salad to start which I would highly recommend, and even the presentation was a work of art. The fillet steak was one of the best Ive had, extremely tender and full of taste. To finish i had the fruit sorbet for dessert which again was fresh, light and extremely delicious.
For any one who is here for the race who staying local, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I would book everytime I come back just to have that steak and pudding again!
