This Is one of those reviews I'm loathed to make as I probably won't be able to book a table the next time I want to go here, this pub is under new management who are very friendly and I have to say the food...More

Now I am sure the previous landlord was absolutely fine, but I never visited during his or her tenure. The pub itself is over 400years old and is awash with exposed beams and feels like and is a really lovely old English pub. The new...More

It was our first visit to the pub after new landlady and landlord took over, the food was lovely, and plenty of it. We will be making it a regular visits.

A listed coaching inn set in the heart of the Kent countryside. The Chequers oozes history and charm with its oak timbers, mullion windows and inglenook fireplace. A fine selection of real ales and wines. The home cooked food is excellent, locally sourced and good value for money. There is a large outside seating area, with a family garden to the rear. The Chequers has recently been refurbished and we look forward to welcoming you. Open: Monday 5-11.
