We found this place thanks to a recommendation from our host in Alba. The decor is simple but the food is amazingly good. Must try the Carne Cruda with green anchoves. Finish all with a glass of Genepy.

Got there just in time to grab a table for 6 as there is no booking. It was very busy. No menu but a good selection of dishes - you choose if you want them all. Wine by the bottle or carafe or glass as you wish. all the food was well prepared, tasty and great value. Make a point... More

We visited Osteria Dei Sognatori after two separate recommendations from locals. You feel like you are eating in someone's kitchen. There are no menus, we were verbally given a few options. The veal tartar was something new for us, but it was fresh and we enjoyed it. Dessert was phenomenal- chocolate and cookie "salami." The pasta, wine, service and atmosphere... More

It seems to be popular among the local. Simple but great food! We just told the waitress to give us whatever they think we should try and all turned out to be really good. We had set of wonderful Piedmontese antipasti and different main course which we had no idea what was the name but all were delicious.

A simple, non pretentious place with good local food. Few dishes made of ingredients of the season, no printed menu. Freshly made pasta from own workshop across the street. Although simple, dishes were fresh and cooked well. Taste buds & stomach thanking during and after lunch.

Yes, it's true that you may enter this restaurant unaware of what you will be eating on any given night. Join the locals on line before opening, and put yourself in the hands of the bustling wait staff. You can have a magnificent meal, as we twice did. The sampler of appetizers can be a marvelous journey in itself. One... More

From the minute we walked in we knew we were in for an experience. No menu! No problem! Our waitress was the best! We told her that we were not extremely hungry and that we didn't want big portions, she brought us a small appetizer, small pasta portion, and small entree...PERFECT! The food was wonderful and again, our server was... More

They were so kind to accommodate us with a reservation during their busy season which is the truffle season. At noon everyone arrived with a full restaurant, we were all promptly seated. The waitress was so kind speaking in Italian and English. It turned out to be one course after another. We had either 5 or 6 courses plus one... More
