It was more than four years ago when we last dined at Magiarge". This time, we were taken there by locals for lunch. We also know a Michelin starred chef who admires their cooking. Based on those experienced sources I will give them the benefit of the doubt and rate them "very good". If I were relying solely on my... More

It's the type of restaurant with a short menu, which means that they are very good at preparing every dish on the menu. Nice staff, nice location, but it's not cheap.

We were 2 couples just arrived in Bordighera. We found this restaurant by incident, an were sited in the small city square. We food we got was good, and the wine was fine. But we were disappointed about the service. Maybe it was because of the sold out tables, but the food was put on the table without much explanation... More

During our stay in villa elisa we ate here for at least 4 times. And 4 times great. Located on a spheric piazza in the old town of bordighera this little restaurant serves real good food. Please try the capon magre or the tonno or coniglio. It all tastes very well. Not to mention the trofie or fiordelatte.

We went there following the recommendation of a local. Luckily enough, they accepted to take us as we called quite late to make a reservation. We got a table outside, which was quite chilly (both our wives came with short sleeves), so the waitress brought us some warm pashminas. We could then enjoy our night. We have been fortunate enough... More

For out last night in Bordighera we wanted to try out the number one on tripadvisor. We reserved but only a table inside was still available. At arrival we had a pleasant surprise that a table was freed on the terrace which was of course very nice. We ordered the week menu for 21 € and this was perfect. Very... More

We arrived late at our hotel and they called Ristorante Magiarge who kept the kitchen open late to accommodate us. We enjoyed a salad followed by Trofie Pesto. My friends thought it the best pesto they had ever had. This evaluation was maintained during our travels in the Genoa area and with repeated attempts at other restaurants to best it.... More

It was a good job we had asked the hotel to book a table for us for a Saturday night as the restaurant was full. A good selection on the menu; I had rabbit and my husband had the Irish Beef steak. Both meals were good, the only criticism being that, although they were served with potatoes, there were no... More

What a find, this lovely restaurant was. Fantastic local cuisine, cooked to perfection. Every dish was super. Five of us went and shared starters, mains, desserts, all delicious. The waiter was excellent and chose the wine to go with each course and kept our glasses nicely full throughout the evening. The calamari / artichoke warm salad starter was amazing, tuna... More

Description
Recently expanded to two rooms, this attractive trattoria prepares only three or four pastas and main courses daily, announced on a blackboard. Pasta selections usually include trenette or some other pasta with a rich pesto sauce, and there is always a selection of fresh fish and one or two meat courses, often including fresh fish cooked with local olives and fresh vegetables, a house specialty. If you liked the olive oil or wine served at lunch, go across the square to their newly opened wine shop, where local labels line the walls.
