We've been to La Torre a number of times since we first went to Castellina in 1991. Situated right next to the old castle keep ("la Torre") its hard to miss. We've always really enjoyed their food. Great and extensive Tuscan fare. What has evolved for us over the years is the service. Its generally gotten more brusque and impatient... More

I have to say I was pleased with very friendly stuff. But the food looked and tasted more as a food coming from a microwave. For that kind of food this restaurant is a bit to expencive. Would not go here again, maybe if they change the menu (or chef).

Dear Mrs Thank you for taking the time to make a judgment on our trattoria I'm sorry for your unpublished opinion. What did he eat? What did not you like? Microwave we use it only to warm the children's beans. And it's not his case. Our kitchen is open. Come see how we work. We are proud of our chef and... More

This restaurant was the best one we have been in the Chianti area. We had a fabulous starter, the antipasti platter, with a mix of different vegetable tarts, meat and cheese. I had a plate of Tuscan Pici pasta with veal ragu' which was amazing and my partner had the Fiorentina T-bone steak. Despite the waitress thinking it was too... More

Our second visit to Castellina would certainly include La Torre. Great spot at the amazing piazza, excellent food and wine, fast service, friendly staff, lovely place. A must if you are in Chainti and perfect if you are a Bistecca Fiorentina lover.

We really enjoyed our meal at La Torre on the recommendation of our hotel and ratings on TripAdvisor. We felt like we had a "real" Italian meal since the remainder of the restaurant were locals. Food was very good and the service was good. Menu was in English and we did just fine with the language. You won't be disappointed... More

Located on the center of Castellina in Chianti. They offer a menu of typical Tuscan cuisine. Many options of pasta and great seconds. Delicious pasta al ragu di cinghiale (wild boar). Staff very nice and attentive! Good wine list. We spent around 100 euros for two people including two first courses, one second, desert, water and a bottle of chianti... More

This is a lovely little restaurant right in the heart of the Castillina in Chianti. You probably need to book ahead as it's very popular. That's because they serve excellent food. The menu has plenty of choice . I had risotto and it tasted delicious. Food portions are generous. Although busy you couldn't fault the service. The restaurant gets very... More

Very professional waiters. We ordered grilled dishes - both were excellent, especially veal. Portions are quite big. My wife couldn't eat everything. Also ordered chicken liver pate, very tasty.
