It's not so easy to find, but worth searching for. Friendly staff, stunning view and great food made by cooks that love their job. And soooo cheap. Also good to visit a second time. :)

cè soltanto una cosa negativo del rifugio !!!!! bisogno pronotare con una settimane di anticipo, non cè mai posto..... buon segno però. There is only one thing negative about this resurant !!!!! you have to book a table about a week before because it is always full .... that must be a good sign.

This is a very popular place so it's a good idea to book-you can sit either outside or inside . We booked too late to get a table outdoors. The restaurant is on the "main" road" in a very small village in the countryside about 15-20 minutes from Empoli and is run by a very young enthusiastic and competent team... More

Decided to make an adventure of finding a restaurant and came upon this after travelling on the byroads of Tuscany. When we arrived at this un-presuming venue we where shocked to see the car park stuffed and no space, same as for the restaurant. So, we booked for the following night. What a treat! The food was magnificent, simple, tasteful... More

Got there thanks to TA, 15 mins drive from Empoli, Garmin overshoots for 100 ms - its on yellow house beside the road with Casa del Popolo sign. Week-days open at evenings only. Excellent choice of pizzas, which re very good, and meat we ordered was also superb! Best food we had in Italy.Fantastic view on Tuscany countryside

We went there several times. Great and fresh food (try their starters!!), home wine, you can take away the pizza, English-speaking personnel. It's so fantastic that pre-booking of the table is highly recommended. And when you find the house, drive downstairs, the restaurant's entrance is there. The best place we've been in Italy in terms of value for money (circa... More

With charming views from a Tuscan hillside, a simple menu cooked fabulously well and incredibly friendly staff this is an ideal evening out whilst on holiday with one's family or a deux. The restaurant is small and well off the beaten track and it is tough to get a table on the terrace as it is usually booked well ahead... More
