This cosy little restaurant was recommended by hotel staff who actually work in ANOTHER restaurant! Bustling, well priced with a great atmosphere of local friendliness Veal Marsala was great. Mixed grilled veggies a bit more varied than the usual Staff were helpful and courteous even under the pressure of a full house Local house red and white wines were fine

We visited Erice as a day trip and had a wonderful time. Since we got there early, we were starved by 11:30am. Osteria di Venere was preparing for their regular lunch hour and so we were the first to appear at their door without reservations. We lucked out. The food was delicious and the wait staff was incredibly kind. They... More

We loved this place so much, that even though we were staying in Trapani, and not in Erice, we went back to Erice (all the way up that massive hill in the heat), just to eat there every day. I can't even describe how amazing the food is. It is as good as the best restaurants we've ever eaten in... More

Although Erice is extremely touristic and most restaurants in the locality are geared for this, Osteria di Venere retains the genuine, family run atmosphere with helpful and friendly service, good food and amazing, ricotta based desserts. The White House wine is about ok, otherwise it's great.

Even if you've been to enrice before to enjoy the view - if you haven't been at this place it is worth to drive up the hill again. Perfect mixture of few, fresh ingredients and a genius way of preparing them.

After being turned away from the esxtremely popular and totally booked Gli Archi di San Carlo, we stumbled across this wonderful restaraunt. Warm welcoming staff, forgiving my miserable Italian, English menu, and great food even better wine list. Great pladce for families, the professional (!) staff are not frightend from family sized groups or children. We enjoyed every minute and... More

Very few choices here in Erice while the locals are on vacation for the month. So be aware of many restaurants closed. Venere had the typical Trapenese dishes served with almond. I had the bus ate with almonds...very, very good. We also had a swordfish volatini which was well prepared. Pitcher of red house wine and you're good to go.

Ate at this restaurant while on our visit at Erice. Delicious food prepared in the Sicilian way and with prime ingredients. We were 6 and all the plates we tried where excellent. I recommend this restaurant to families and groups.

I'm not a big fan of fish, but they are able to really cook it well. There was just a misunderstanding about the order, but the waiter perfectly managed it. One of the waiter at least is perfectly well speaking french.
