I believe I was the first to write a review of this restaurant on the English language Tripadvisor site. We return year after year, in two seasons, winter and fall, and are always greeted warmly and find the cooking precise and flavorful. Both locals and visitors in the know recognize that the kitchen consistently uses excellent ingredients and produces attractive... More

This is a charming oasis in one of Italy's most beautiful seaside villages. Any restaurant that survives for 25 years is doing some things right. There are many things that are right here. The kitchen prepares elegant but unpretentious dishes that honor Ligurian tradition. The service is professional and informal, befitting a homey gathering place for both locals and visitors.... We all know that touristic coastal towns and villages are usually not the best places to eat ... But this general rule is not applicable to the little restaurant Le Canard : excellent primi (pastas), followed by more than good secondi (second courses) and accompanied by a decent house wine. Moreover, service is very friendly and efficient. These people know... More

We always wanted to try this place, but never did. Last week we finally decided to try it for lunch and had a pleasant surprise. The place is not big, but it's very nicely accommodated, and clean (a quality that to me is a priority in any place that I go). We tried the plates of the day, which in... More

We shared a very good octopus salad for start, and then, we tried tagliolini frutti di mare. Superb! Usually, this is the dish we use to test a restaurant. Canard does it perfect: home made pasta, fresh seafood, light delicious sauce. With good white house wine, all was inexpensive for this quality. The team is friendly and efficient. We'll come... Laigueglia is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Not just my opinion, but that of an organization that celebrates such things. Years ago, it had a destination restaurant owned by the Norwegian explorer Thor Heyderhal. That restaurant changed hands several times and is now closed. That's probably irrelevant to this review except that the current dining scene in... More
