Pasta was good but second dish calamari and shrimps were frozen... For a local advertising typical Italian food that was disappointing. They have an ad in the door against TripAdvisor so I guess they don't get many good reviews. Service was OK.

On a side street near the amphitheatre we stumbled across the little gem. The menu was local Salento cuisine (translated). The interior was pure Puglia (outside seating also available, but as this was Lecce festival season, a bit to bustling for our taste). The food was excellent. Local excellent house wine for €4 for ½ litre. Prompt (for Italy) service.... More

We spotted this restaurant after visiting Piazza Oronzo and, tempted by the dark, cool interior, ventured in. We were greeted rather reluctantly but offered a table in a practically empty restaurant. The food was mediocre, the service appalling...our plates were snatched away the moment each one of us finished...making the slower eaters feel slow and giving us all the impression that... More

We had diner here this august and it wasn't a good experience. My son and husband ordered pasta and when it came it wasn't cooked. It was not 'al dente' but tough/hard. I had the anti pasti and they all tasted sour as if they had trown in loads of vinegar. It was the worst eating experience we ever had... More

Locanda Rivoli begins with a proprietor who seems to scowl at more than some of his clients as they enter. The impression is if he doesn't know you personally, you are of lesser value to his interests. This attitude is reflected in the uninspired fare of our meal. The pasta vongole was disproportionally small , a bit over salted and... More

Our first choice for dinner as recommended to us turned out to be the sandwich shop "Come Vuoi" on the Duomo Square, which was not what we wanted. We walked nearby and found Locanda Rivoli on via A. Imperatore. It was full with a tourist group who all sounded happy. We split a plate of mixed grilled meats that turned... More

We were there for dinner one evening, without reservations. The waiter was very attentive and helped us select local dishes, including a bruschetta made with a bit of ricotta made from goat's milk, not cow's milk. Very pungent but very tasty! The fish in salt mantle was perfectly cooked and extremely delicious.

It doesn't look as upmarket as some of the other restaurants in the area but if you want good honest food this is perfect. Grilled bass expertly served at the table, good pasta and warm and friendly staff.

Central to the historic district, it was a bright and lively location. The ristorante is sizeable but on a beautiful night, people filled the tables outside. With this ristorante, their outdoor dining straddles the sidewalk. Most people walk past without interfering with the patrons but the constant parade of migrant peddlers with their babies harass customers beyond what's acceptable. They... More

I will be honest and say we chose this restaurant for its proximity to our hotel ( practically next door ) . We were happy with the food and the service and returned there the next day for another satisfying meal .
