This restaurant was recommended by a blog post, near the hotel, and decor looked nice so we booked. From start to finish it was a disaster. This area of Italy is known for its focaccia, but the bread basket included focaccia that was unbelievably stale—hard to do where they are located. We live in Italy so I am very used... More

It was incredible - we stand more as a quarter hour without getting asked or noticed. Nobody felt responsable and it made the impression "tourists" are not welcome. It was a sobering experience.

We walked into Trattoria Tre Tori by chance as the restaurant is in a good location and had a lovely, romantic feel to it. The food was outstanding - the raw fish selection was beautifully presented and very tasty. The absolute winner, however, was the oven baked fish of the day with potatoes, tomatoes and olives. Possibly one of the... More

Great seafood. Consensus on the best dishes was the Tuna steak and the Swordfish. Service was slow, especially the wait for our desserts.

We never ate here but we stood in line for an hour until a waiter came to tell that the place is fully booked for the lunch time. Some places the waiters really have an eye for what is happening but not this one.

Porto Venere is beautiful but very touristic, so finding a really good place is not so trivial. We were very convinced by the The Torri, which proposes excellent local cuisine, with skilled preparation and fresh products. We liked very much the pasta with seafood, and the purposely nearly raw red tuna. Even the dessert was spectacular. The terrasse is lovely,... More

The owner spotted us reading the menu outside the restauant, so came out with 2 complimentary glasses of prosecco. This did the trick, and in we went. A great decision. A fresh clean interior, colourful crockery, marvellous fresh bread, a good and reasonably priced wine list, friendly attentive service and home cooked Italian fare. The desserts were exceptional. And reasonably... More

Overall atmosphere was classy and service pleasant and sympathetic. Food was ok. But the bread was many days old - it was hard like a stone and smelled a bit mouldy. House wine was not good either for wine area. For this price would expected this kind of things to be ok..

We went here twice on our trip to Portovenere. Service was good, place was clean and very pleasantly decorated with flowers and custom dishes. On our first visit, I had the house pasta as first course and the fish of the day island style as my main course. My wife had a caprese salad as her first course and pasta... More
