A perfect place to have our last dinner in Positano! While there weren’t coastal views, the vibe of the restaurant was still pretty nice and gave a different feel altogether (in a calm and relaxing way). We weren’t having any luck getting reservations online, but we’re able to get a table through our hotel’s front desk. The service throughout was great as we were regularly tended to. The suggestions by the waiter were also spot on.
Our Eggplant Parmigiana starter was delicious, with the crunchy topper adding a perfect mix of texture. The two pastas we shared were great and very flavorful. The lobster dish would’ve been large enough on its own as it was more then generous plate. I also really appreciate the restaurant providing us a complimentary dessert for our celebratory occasion as well. All three types of chocolate were very decadent and rich, but equally tasty.
Definitely a great option for a nice dinner in the area and one that I would love to repeat.

We ate here for dinner at the recommendation of our hotel and really enjoyed the meal! The ambiance is beautiful and it feels like you're tucked away in a private location even though the restaurant is off of a very busy walkway. We were also able to hear the live music coming from the restaurant's lounge next door, which was nice as the musicians were great!
Our service was great, with attentive waiters and other staff who were on top of things like water and wine and were happy to give recommendations and work around dietary restrictions. Our meals were tasty and beautiful, and we both left feeling satisfied with our choices. Overall, we would definitely return!

Within a wonderful garden setting with large trees and plants everywhere, you can enjoy a beautiful dinner while it is warm enough (although heaters are also available). Very friendly staff serves great food (especially the daily fish specials are really great) and is very helpful in making recommendations for food and wine ... often also not on the menu (since some of the menu items might not be to everybody's taste). It is a little more pricey than most places in town, but well worth it.

Absolutely horrendous experience. Food was awful, service was worse and the setting isn’t great at all. A terrible ending to our trip and after 10 days of touring Naples, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast it was easily our worst meal / experience.
Our friends suggested this place because they had a great experience a month ago, so now, actually something has changed.
The food was overpriced and didn’t taste anywhere near as good as other Positano restaurants. We ordered pasta dishes and they were extremely bland, no flavor at all.
We thought of getting dessert but couldn’t get one waiters attention so gave up and spent 15min trying to get the bill and pay.
Our waiter was rude, perhaps that was just for us, but I wouldn’t risk the amount of money you have to pay here for the quality. We ordered pasta dishes and they were extremely bland, no flavor at all.
Have never given a restaurant a one star review before, but I truly believe this was an awful experience.
When we asked to meet the Chef, he wasn’t the same of the photo that our friends sent us.
So I suggest you to pay attention because surely something has changed…but for the worse.

Our party of 8 which had travelled from Australia to celebrate a 60th wedding anniversary could not have wanted for anything more. Commencing with celebratory drinks in the adjoining Le Petit Murat, Francesco and his colleagues attended our every need with attentive service and delicious canapés. At dinner in Al Palazzo, the attention (especially to the happy couple who are in their mid-80s) by Marco and his team was masterful and flawless. Together, they struck the perfect balance of polished, professional service and relaxed, good humour. The quality of food was superb. Without doubt, it was the finest meal during our week in Positano and has set a very high benchmark for other venues to meet in our remaining 4 weeks in Italy. Thank you for creating such a wonderful and valuable memory for us all.

Visited with my girlfriend having spotted it while wandering theough positano. The service was admittedly excellent but we were shocked to see it on the michelin guide as the food was sub par at best. We both had salads to start which were satisfactory but no more and then pasta to follow which was extremely disappointing. We appreciate al dente pasta but the clam linguine was so underdone you could here a crunch as you ate it.

What a special experience matched only by amazing food, service and ambience. My 3 girls were treated like princesses and they even ate ALL their food (a first on our Italian trip). The steak and lamb chops were delicious and the desserts were mouth watering. Marco and Sebastiano took care of us all night with impeccable service and wonderful dialogue. We will definitely be back!!!

Every once in a while you stumble upon a restaurant with delicious food, a fun atmosphere, and incredible service that elevates your entire experience. Welcome to Al Palazzo! My wife and I visited Al Palazzo after recommendations from friends and our hotel in Positano. The restaurant is beautiful and the vibe is laidback with fun outdoor seating. The service was incredible and our server, Sebastiano, was absolutely amazing. From entree recommendations to wine pairings to dessert selections, Sebastiano’s guidance was impeccable and he truly made my wife and I feel special, and elevated our entire experience to perfection. Thank you so much Sebastiano and Al Palazzo for the wonderful experience and a night we will truly treasure forever. Take my advice and make sure to include Al Palazzo in your dinner plans in Positano and make sure to request Sebastiano for a truly unforgettable experience!

Enjoyed a midweek early dinner with friends on a perfect May evening. The menu offered up the usual Amalfi dishes with some unique twists. Sadly some of the twists were a bit heavy handed. The fried anchovy parmigiana while tasty was soggy and overly dense, The grilled lamb chops with artichokes and potatoes were greasy and overdone. Exceptional wine list but priced far above other Michelin mentioned or Starred restaurants in the area. Finally, the service was rushed and at odd times inattentive.

We just left the place and sad to say our experience was sub par. It started great but ended really bad. Service was excellent except when we were given the wrong pasta dish we ordered. We ordered the chef's special of the night, pasta with truffle and TBONE steak prepared medium rare. Our pasta came out as pasta with lobster. And our steak was well done! We tried to eat it bec we just wanted to enjoy our night after the first pasta mistake. The steak was 85.00 euros but we just cant keep going! It was too dry! We told the server why we didnt finish it. I mentioned after paying but all was said was sorry! I dont think they were sorry or something nice could have been done! We paid full price for a bad experience and food! Good luck with your decision making. We regret ours. I wanted to give 1 star only but the gentleman who did our drink refills and changed our plates for every course deserved a special mention as he was very nice.

This restaurant checks all the boxes~beautiful location, wonderful atmosphere, attentive and friendly hostess and waiters, and the best food. Our first dinner there was so enjoyable that we booked dinner for the very next evening. Maria, the hostess, welcomed us and made us feel right at home. Marco and Sebastiano, our waiters, tended to our every need with professionalism, humor and warmth. The second night we ordered the special which was the catch of the day sea bass. It was broiled in its entirety and when it came to the table piping hot, Sebastiano masterfully removed the head and spine and filleted it right in front of us. It was for sure the best meal we have ever had. Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere at Al Palazzo is very special. It sits in the courtyard of the lovely Palazzo hotel just off one of the small pedestrian streets that wind through Positano. It was like entering your own private garden. Maria, Marco, and Sebastiano were wonderful. We will definitely be back! We were celebrating our honeymoon.

The staff was great. The prices were known ahead if time, but with them, I expected giid food. The dining area is in a tent with no view for such an expensive place. The included bread was the best part of the meal. To risotto had no flavor, the lobster linguine special had almost no lobster. It was to worst meal of our Italy trip, but was also the most expensive. The Michelin star must have been awarded to a different chef, as the food was less flavorful than any in the area.

This restaurant is such a gem! There are great restaurants in Positano, but I would argue this is at the top - best food and unparalleled service in a beautiful location that is easy to get to, but tucked away in a quiet refuge. Maria and Marco always treat us like family and the entire staff make our meals feel extra special. We can't wait to come back!

We had the most perfect evening at Palazzo Murat… I first visited here with my Mum back in 2017 and
at the time I took a photo of her holding the menu. This time there were 5 of us, including my Mum and when wandering through the streets of Positano we again found this beautiful hotel and restaurant… we were so warmly welcomed by Marco, I showed him the photograph of my Mum back in 2017, he was delighted to see it and showed genuine interest, giving us all a glass of Prosecco to welcome us back.
The food here was exquisite, we chose a Tomahawk steak and a whole sea bass with a variety of sides to share between the 5 of us and it was wonderful. We enjoyed everything and ate it all. The staff here are so attentive, Special thanks to Marco and Sara for looking after us so well and the rest of the team who names sadly I don’t know. If you’re in Positano and looking for a special evening for alfresco dining in beautiful surroundings in my opinion this is the place to head to! Thanks again,

The best restuarant in Positano, you will never regret having a meal in this lovely restaurant. Everything was special starting from the restaurant atmosphere to the delicious food. Ravioli is so delicious and the local lobster pasta is a taste of heaven. Strongly recommend.
