We ate here 3 times because of the location plus their prices are reasonable, most Positano restaurants on a whole are overpriced. Good pizzas, ok pasta dishes, the seafood risotto I thought was average. House wine was ok, the big plus was the view. Service was good. WIFI

Average food and average atmosphere. I had the gnocchi and my husband had fish. Both were okay- nothing to rave about.

It is hard to walk around Positano as everything is built into the side of a mountain. Knowing we could get a ride was wonderful. Tony our driver didn't speak English but tried hard to be sure we felt welcome. He even asked me what prego meant in English and then said welcome over and over. It isn't fancy but... More

This lovely restaurant had shuttle service and very good food. We ate there 3 times in our 2 week stay . 4 of us each had a different dish each night and all were excellent. Wait staff were fun and we had very attentive service. We did make reservation because restaurant is full most nights. Would highly recommend .

We made a huge lunch today and weren't sure if we would even want dinner. We couldn't decide what to do and thought we would just grab a pizza from the place that has a sign just outside our VRBO which is just down the street from the restaurant. We overstuffed ourselves again. The pizza turned out larger than I... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. They sent a shuttle bus, which is very helpful given the steep climbs in Positano. We had three of the specials of the day, shared between two so as to make three courses, as suggested by the very helpful waiter: grilled anchovies, followed by lobster with linguine, then grilled sea bream with aubergine... The C'era una Volta is a fantastic family run restaurant serving fresh home cooked food from the Positano area. We have eaten here many times over the years and have always had superb food and service. Sempre delizioso.!!!

Had dinner here at the recommendation of American friends of mine that live in Positano. We started the meal with fried alici. The fish were not clean and they smelled. The bread we were served was stale and from the day before. I ordered linguini with lobster and although the sauce was good ... the linguini was not cooked. It... More

Thank you for the bad review, because when we have some reply we try to improve our work. You start with the fried anchovies, and you finish with that, infact when the waiter arrive for take the plates your ITALIAN friend say to him "Leave on the table"... Also you say that they smelled, But on 5 KG of anchovies... More

We spent a rainy evening in this cosy restaurant and were made to feel at home. The food was good and fresh and the atmosphere perfect. We had a fun evening working our way through the menu.

We just did not know. We were referred here and it was great! This was the best food we have had in 6 days. We traveled Florence then to Positano and we landed some great local food! Eat here! It is good!
