A beautiful walk to the restaurant, recommended for late afternoon start to arrive at dusk. Remember to bring a torch for the way back, there are no streetlights. The patio gives a fabulous views of the eruptions. Drinks are not cheap (but then again everything has to be transported right the way round the island!)

We popped into this restaurant having spent a few hours a few hundred feet higher watching Stromboli. The lady running the place was most welcoming and as it was chilly outside, she showed us to a table where we could still see the eruptions through a high window. We had a few carafes of wine watching the ash clouds blast... More

The food and service was good, the prices, though not cheap, were more than reasonable for such an out-of-the-way place. The weather meant the outdoor terraces were closed, but you could still stand outside, and see the lava fountains up at the top. We needed head torches to walk there, as the track is not lit. We thought it would... More

Great idea of admiring the fantastic eruptions while you dine... however we had the sirocco wind so not possible to view outside which was a shame... good food but not much to eat. We ate two baskets of bread as it is an hour's hike to get there so you end up starving. The bread was amazing - black bread!!!... More

If you are not going all the way up to the crater this is the next best alternative. Pizza was large and good but the reason you come here is for the fabulous view of one of the craters which may or may not perform ....that is nature! I saw the red hot lava rocks tumbling down the steep slopes,... More

Watching eruptions from a restaurant during dinner: We hiked across the island through the middle path to the ‘observatory’ lookout for the view (approx. 2 1/2 hours. We are not the fastest hikers and we take lots of photos) afterwards, we hiked a short way down to the Observatorio Restaurant on the cliff. A shuttle service is available from your... More

We came here for the view and it didn't let us down. The food was ok, we both had lamb, the pizza oven finished at 9.00 which was a shame. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us, we had an interesting journey up to the restaurant in the van/car. Would highly recommend.

A very good dinner and the volcanic eruption , two for the price of one. It's not easy to get there, first you need a cab from the harbor and then the shuttle to take you up to the restaurant. A bit scary but close your eyes, it's worth it. Book a table for the sunset and enjoy the local... More

The food was amazing and truly sicilian. The fish was delicious and we got the perfect view of the volcano from our table. We saw the sparks come out of the crater all while eating a delicious meal. Would highly recommend.

Loved the atmospheres its 20 min Stromboli eruptions above you/ seeing and experiencing in style! The food is all based on locale produce and delicious. Adequate and affordable wine list. The funniest thing was the drive up the narrow unsealed track for the last 4 kms. Well worth staying longer in Stromboli to experience this treasure. Marie and Alan, CRONULLA... More
