Not your average pub fare here. Impressive menu and food was delicious. Great service. Will definitely be back

Go there and eat and drink something you will be amazed.. do not focus on the interior of the bar/ restaurant. Because the food is amazing, the staff really friendly. Just imagine yourself 150 years ago.
Fabulous setting, great selection of beers and local wines, , good food, beautiful bar area made of local wood, Thoroughly recommend visiting the oldest pub in New Zealand.
We just popped in to try a tasting tray of the excellent boutique beer on offer and had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Friendly staff and locals. Well worth a visit.
