I went to eat at the Doi Saket inn and it was a thrilling experience in a very good sense! I ate dishes that brought me home, but the most pleasant part was when Poivrons the lord of the sea approached the structure and asked for a cutlet, THRILLS! great job by the owner and all the staff, when I return to Thailand I will return to eat!

Fabulous food in a lovely quiet garden/patio setting.

The 4-cheese gnocchi at Locanda was probably the best I’ve ever had! The portion size was good and the amount of cheese was extraordinary :-) Another lovely surprise was the quality of the house white wine, again a good measure too. It was definitely worth the scooter ride out there!

We are so fortunate to live near by to this fab restaurant .The food is excellent,beautifully presented and the service is very good ,great value too .we eat here probably a couple times a month and the food is always constantly great .

Food at its best, presentation great, atmosphere and host/service absolutely top. Leaves nothing to be desired. We are already looking forward to the next visit. Just go there - it's worth it.

Same staff but moved into Doi Saket ! The adress showed on this page is wrong . The new locatin is much nicer and very quiet ! The menues are great and delicious !

A unique experience!

Without knowing about the Christmas offer from Fondue Chinoise, we went to the Locanda for our dinner. And although we had not preordered, Roberto made it possible for us to serve up one of the best Fondue Chinoise we had ever tasted. Generous portions, wonderful meat, a large nice salad and excellent homemade sauces. And not to forget the salmon carpaccio for starters and the apple strudel with vanilla cream for dessert! Many thanks to Roberto and his team and Merry Christmas.

Perfect dining experience

The restaurant is very cosy and neat. The staff is friendly and the food absolutely excellent. Freshly prepared and excellent in taste. The portions are generous and everything is served on time. The price-performance ratio is also very good. It was one of the best western food we ate in Thailand. We can warmly recommend the Locanda.

Very nice dining experience

I've been driving past this place many times and finally decided to give it a try with a visiting friend. We found the atmosphere very inviting and the food first rate. The bruschetta was fresh and flavorful and the weiner schnitzel was hot and tasty. The portion sizes were just right. They were showing Charlie Chaplin movies on the TV, which made the whole experience more fun and Roberto even provided some live music entertainment in addition to taking our order and preparing the food. Very satisfied with everything. I will be back

I’ve eaten here numerous times and the food is consistently excellent. I love the homemade pastas and sauces. Cold cut appetizer and bruschetta are great. Overall value is hard to beat. I can’t recommend another Italian restaurant in this area more than Locanda! Eat here!

A great Sunday lunch

We went there unplanned and were very touched by how pleasant everything was. A delicious lunch full of flavor and colors. We ordered spaghetti clam sauce, gnocchi gorgonzola, pizza pepperoni, penne hot sauce, tiramisu and whole coconuts. The whole meal for four persons cost us 1,400 THB. Pasta was rightly cooked. Still al denté. Sauces tasted great. Pizza had thin crust and was full of toppings. The owner cook (I believe) came to greet us and he made an excellent meal, timely served. We will certainly go back. Thank you for making a good meal with a real Italian spirit. Unpretentious. Simple in cooking methods but hard to beat in flavor. They have live music every Sunday evening.

Very good Italian restaurant in Doi Saket

Best value for money in this area. Food is delicious and prices very affordable. I highly recommand this restaurant if you would like to eat Italian food in this area. Many dishes, you cannot eat anywhere else. Very relax place with nice owner & staffs. Just a little far from city center but perfect place in Doi Saket area.

WHAT A NIGHT !

Sun.3rd.June my wife & I were treated to yummo meals of Salmon & Pork with all the trimmings,....it was a very rewarding experience for us as we met some interesting warm friendly people who were regular customers......Italian,Swiss,German,Thai & even a couple of Aussies.(Australians)......I`m Australian...my wife Chinese......there`s two areas.......inside (air con.) & outside (au natural).....your choice......the service was spot on & mine host Roberto a really fun character........Locanda has an easy comfortable ambience......but don`t take my word for it.......come & see for yourself.....entertainment Sunday nights.

I wasn’t expecting much of this place. Come on, it is in Doi Saket. How good can an Italian place be in DS??? Boy was I wrong. The owner lives out here, so this is where his restaurant is! And it blew me away. I ordered gnocchi pomodoro and the tomato sauce was fresh made as was the gnocchi. I was surprised when the pieces of tomato in the sauce were so moist and flavorful. Who would’ve guessed I would get freshly made sauce. My girlfriends fish was outstanding and a huge portion. She ate half and was full. We did order a Caesar salad which to my surprise was a sharing size plate and we only ate half as it was also huge. The bruschetta was outstanding with 6 pieces and a selection of 3 different types of bruschetta. This is a place to make your way to and enjoy a great Italian meal. The owner is super personable and it was nice chatting with him. You can’t go wrong eating here!

We had diner here with a group of four. The owner and his staff gave us a warm welcome. After our aperitif, we all ordered different starters. Everything very tasteful and good quality. As mains two of us had gnocchi with gorgonzola cream sauce, one duckbreast in orange sauce and one deer steak. Again delicious ! As dessert we all have tiramisu. Big portion and not to sweet, just how we liked it. As house wine they serve a nice glass or carafe Spanish wine. We all have a nice evening and will go back to this restaurant !
