One of many restaurant lining the harbour, this place was near enough full when others around it were much quieter. The food was lovely - moules and smoked salmon - with generous portions at reasonable prices. The service was OK, but there was only one person waiting on and as it got busy he got more rushed and a bit... More

Great fresh seafood with lots of non seafood options as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. Note at all expensive, great value for money.

The scallop and mushroom dish a la cancalaise was really nice, but the mussels were very small and not very good. The service and ambience were very nice.

This is one of the many restaurants which line the port area of Cancale, which we chose more or less at random. It is a friendly and informal place and English is spoken. There is all manner of seafood available and we watched other tables getting to grips with crabs and lobsters with their crackers and pins. We opted for... More

Visited this great place with my boyfriend for lunch. The servant speaks English, which is not common for France. The food was amazing - wonderful fish soup with cheese, bread and garlic, as well as a huge plate of mussels in a taste sauce with french fries and that mint-chocolate ice cream was a perfect ending! Would love to come... More

We had been to Mont St Michelle earlier in the day & Cancale seemed the obvious place to stop for a seafood lunch. As usual though I had been too leisurely with my time calculations & when we arrived at the fabulous Quai Gambetta, Port de Cancale, most of the quayside establishments were closed for their good value 3/4 course... With a table of 12 pers. late at night it was not evident to find a good place without reservations. We had a good dinner, we had fun , food was very good , we had Crepes, Andouille and Oysters, everything was excellent .The owner invite us for a round of Calvados. A nice place in Cancale

This restaurant is definitely good! The staff is friendly and the menus are offered in different languages (at least french, english and italian). Food is great: the fish soup taste nice as well as all the mussels recipes. If you love French cheese, don't miss the mussels in Roquefort cream! Please take in mind that the mussels portion are huge... More

We've been here a few times over the last few years and have never been disappointed. Delicious, fresh food, friendly, efficient and relaxed service. Recommended.
