Unexpected. The name and exterior décor suggest somewhere chic, perhaps with an emphasis on wine; inside you find a comfortable, hospitable French brasserie/restaurant, run very effectively by a couple who clearly know their stuff. We detected none of the unfriendliness mentioned by a small number of other reviewers: we found both the chef and madame (front of the house) friendly,... More

This meal has been SO wonderful we are actually writing this review before we leave our table. The oysters we had to start were perfect. We had the 'bar' and it was the most beautiful fish dish- the flavours that were put together were DIVINE! We ended with Tiramisu- and oh my goodness- superb. The wonderful 'patron' helped us choose... More

This is not a restaurant right on the shore were most Vannes visitors choose a restaurant for eating. In fact you just have to walk five minutes and you’ll find it. It’s a very charming restaurant with nice French cuisine. I loved the oysters and the staff’s welcoming. Enjoy!

My wife and I were visiting from the U.S., some friends who had just purchased a home in Vannes and came across this restaurant. Di'Vin is owned and run by a very nice couple and very nicely decorated. We tried the beef and fish, both of which were well above average as were the homemade deserts. Our friends mentioned that... The food was certainly not too bad, although expensive. Our meal was ruined by the very poor service by a noisy waitress who to show that we were too much trouble added the noise of the dish-washer.

Lovely food and setting. However, the boss can be grumpy...beware. The fish and desserts are definitely worth ordering.

I mean what the h*ll does "Faux Filet à notre façon" mean? Translation: "Sirloin steak, done our way". What is the point in putting that on a specials board? If you're the type of person to get annoyed at such "non-sensensities", (like me!) then this place isn't for you. And whether it was actually sirloin....well, if it was, it was... More

We dined here twice during our short stay in vannes. The first night we had booked, the second night(Saturday) was by chance as we were disorganized and had not gone out to find a restaurant until 8.30! We had the set menu the first night and a nice bottle of wine. The food was excellent and the Spanish waitress charming... More

The place is located in the old city of Vannes, and offers outdoor seating. It has a very good atmosphere, thanks to the chef and his wife. The food is really good, it's authentic and it's cooked right here ! Try the Far Breton Poëlé for dessert : a must. Wines are a good choice, and not expensive. The right... More
