This little restaurant is opposite the theatre. It is quirky and very French. The staff seemed to consist of the manager and a single young waitress. Although they did not speak English they were helpful. When we walked in we saw a man eating steak and chips. It looked delicious and we decided to have the same. Good choice -... More

The small but very busy restaurant was recommended by the hotel where we were staying. Situated opposite the theatre, it has a large menu and the food is of good quality. None of the staff speak any English and our French wasn't the best, but we muddled through the menu assisted by the man on the next table. All done... More

This is a great place for food, but one of the owners has a thing about people who cannot speak French.he feels that they are fools to be made a joke of.While their other French locals were apologising on his behalf after he attempted to make us the butt of his sarcastic humour. He has a very cavalier attitude in his service,... We were recommended this restaurant and were pleased to get a booking on a Monday evening. It was quickly quite clear that not a lot of English was spoken and people arriving after us were ordering whilst we were left to struggle with the menu. The owner found it amusing that we needed help and joked with other diners about... More

This restaurant was very busy. The owners didn't speak English but we managed to communicate. Their food was the best I have had in Europe. Very quaint. Best to make a booking as it is busy.

We arrived at 7 pm, ordered at 7:10 pm and served at 8:30 pm, despite polite reminders. None of the 3 serves could speak Engligh - apparently - but when i said we would leave if the dinner was not presently immediately, the dinner arrived. These were popular meals with other guest and looked like they were prepared in advance... More

I really can't fault this little restaurant. Very tasty, simple food, lively atmosphere, hospitable service and good value. We arrived around 9pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately. We enjoyed our evening immensely and would definitely return.

Arrived late at night, and they made room for us when the restaurant was full (abnormal for France), and then when a nicer table was available they moved us. The food was good, nothing to rave about, but overall they made us feel very welcome, and we had a great time! The place was packed with locals, charming decor, lively... More

Just back after dinner here. A very busy, buzzy restaurant and I know why. The front of house husband and wife , the owners, are welcoming and friendly. They explained the menus to us and took our orders, leaving us with drinks and nibbles. Our food came quickly and it was fabulous, so tasty and delicious. The room was full... More
